Who you watch? Favorite team? Early championship predictions?

I'm a Purdue fan, so the season will be over by week 5. I also enjoy watching Clemson. I'm going with a Ohio St. repeat.

I have Texas A&M season tickets, I'll watch them, but honestly I can't give a about college football outside of that.

I hope Ohio state gets a repeat and the SEC is shut out of the playoff.

I had season tickets to Purdue games during the Drew Brees and Kyle Orton years. I honestly enjoy college football more then professional.

The tailgating and experience is fun, but I hate the way they schedule all cupcakes during their non conference weeks, their post season is better now with the playoff, but was a complete joke until then.

Like I said, I'll watch the Aggies, but I'm not going to tune in for Illinois state/Iowa. I'll watch most NFL games on though.

Watched South Carolina and North Carolina Thursday. First week for a lot of teams is always cupcake teams but I'm glad those two played each other. Usually tail gate the South Carolina with my sister and brother in law since they have season tickets as well as a tail gate spot

Glad to see you think my Clemson Tigers will be in the final four. And the USC you are referring to is South Carolina? Or southern cal?

Southern Cal

Bah. The real USC is in South Carolina. Not California. We were a school before they were even a state.

How exactly is Houston a neutral site for A&M vs. Arizona State?

Same way the Carolina Panthers stadium in Charlotte was a neutral site for the NC vs SC game on Thursday

One thing I do love about college football is the signs you see the fans have. Some good laughs to be had at them

Somebody just posted on the Husker board a photo of two Mormons at the front door with the caption "Have you heard of our Lord and Savior, Hail Mary?"

Dood, if you are going to pretend to be from South Carolina, a map is your friend. Colombia is actually closer to Charlotte than Raleigh. HTH

College Station is basically a suburb of Houston. ASU is in Tempe, AZ. 1100+ miles away.

College station is about 90 miles away.

It was a fun game, ASU had a few bad breaks

It's also another exhibit in the case against ranking coming out until week 8

Eh... Aggies will be ranked. And they deserved to win the game. The homer in me thought ASU got screwed on some calls and non-calls, and some bizarre ball spots, but at the end of the day that's whiny loser talk. :D

On a mildly related note, it occurred to me early in the game that I spaced on a great career opportunity. I may have mentioned here that my best friend from my old career/industry (where I made a ton of cha ching) is now in a position of power and may be looking for someone in my neck of the woods in the near future. Anyway, he is an Aggie. I totally could have talked some smack with him then eaten crow. :wall:

Your point is slingblade-level stoopid. The distance from Columbia vs. Chapel Hill to Charlotte is mice nuts. The difference from Tempe vs. College Station to Houston is 1000+ miles. Just stop now, please? It is embarrassing.

I was at the game, it was much closer than the score at the end, Christian Kirk is a threat to score every time he touches the ball, reminds me of devin Hester (of course, only his first game and he is a freshman). Kyler Murray has a bit of that Manziel Magic, just need to develop his timing a bit. Like the contrasts between him and Kyle Allen. Aggies should be alright this year, defense looks really improved.

One thing I will say, there sure are some hot chicks on the ASU side, A&M tends to be a bit red necky, but damn they have some hot fans, and not you jerry.

Jerry my point went WAY over your head so I'm not gonna bother typing it out. Apparently you don't get it and that's fine

I think ASU's uniforms were real faggy. What color were they supposed to be?

That was copper, which is a big natural resource here. One of the 5 "C's" of Arizona's historical economy -- copper, cattle, cotton, climate, and cactus, I think. Unfortunately copper prices have been in the tank lately so the largest mining company (Freeport McMoran) is going through tough times.

Anyway... yeah, I said to the wife that to me those uniforms were a bit much, but I'm approaching "get off my lawn" age. I imagine the recruits like them. ASU has a new deal with Adidas this year for uniforms, so I'm sure they wanted to make a splash.

Bummer that Kirk (Arizona kid) went to A&M; same for Allen. Does Sumlin have ties here? ASU tried to hire him when he went to A&M, I know.

As for the chicks... yeah, that's a perk.

Too bad Tennessee will win the East this year.

Maybe...better get better on defense.

I think Georgia takes it.

Butch has to prove he can beat his rivals ..1-7 vs Florida, UGA, Vandy, and Bama.

Only win was against Vandy last year.
