Nothing quite like it. Islay Smokey peaty... but medicinal, sea, oily... stuff is just like no other. The 10 yr. is great for the price. Laphroaig Select? Not so good. Laphroaig Triple Wood? shotsup 830 Posted January 20, 2018 February will be 10 years since I was walking home from the bar after work (I was "on a diet" so I was drinking wine and bourbon- no beer) slipped on ice in my driveway hit my head and passed out. Neighbor found me at 6AM and called 911. Thankfully I had on a heavy enough long coat that I didn't freeze to death. I remmeber back in HS we would be out drinking and end up walking places. Certain parts of the year the sidewalks were all ice in parts. I dont know how many times we would be drunk and totally slip backwards both feet in air. I think it happened so much we knew how to fall a little. But surprised no one got seriously hurt. You would be walking then next thing you know you see your 2 feet at eye level and you are trying to not hit your head too hard. We were all 150lbs soaking wet so maybe that helped. He was a stubburn fella. Im sure he was fine with it in a sense. Better than going in an old folks home. Had to have been 84 and out there shoveling feet of snow. He didnt care.
