Texansfan 0 Posted July 30, 2006 I can only keep 2 of the following: 1) Matt Hasselback for a 5th round pick 2) Plaxico Burress for an 8th round pick 3) Carolina DST for a 10th round pick 4) Willie Parker for an 11th round pick Which two would you keep and why? Bottles 0 Posted July 30, 2006 Keep Willie, he's a safe starter who will draft way ahead of 11th round picks. Don't keep Carolina D, D is too unpredictable, I'd rather have a pick. Hmmn, the other one seems closer, depends on your league's scoring and the scaricty of quality at diff. positions. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=218102
brotherbock 349 Posted July 30, 2006 Parker's a steal in the 11th. He's your top choice. After that, as Bottles said, it depends on scoring. If you're in a QB-heavy league (QBs get 6 points for TDs, not 4), then I'd say Hasselbeck is your second choice. If not, go with Burress and hope he can not drop enough balls to score you some good points.

Texansfan 0 Posted August 1, 2006 Any other opinions? I'm sold on FWP as 1 keeper. Having a tough time with my 2nd one though. I don't like Burress, so I'm ruling him out at this point. So that means it's Hasselback for a 5th or Car DST for a 10th. Value wise CAR DST is a better deal. Hass is probably a 3rd-4th round pick that I'll get for a 5th. But Car DST could be a 5th-6th round pick for a 10th. Top DSTs in my league score BIG and get drafted early. Would I be a complete fool to keep CAR DST for a 10th round pick? 1b4igo 0 Posted August 2, 2006 Ithink you have to go with FWP and Hasselback. D/ST are too unpredictable and there is a sleeper every year you can grab off waivers (see Indy last year) See mine below for keeper help, too.
williemccoy 0 Posted August 2, 2006 Hasselback and Parker no doubt
skyyaa 0 Posted August 3, 2006 Burress and Parker. Both would go far before the picks you're giving up for them and I'm not so sure Hasselback would go before the 5th. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=218720
FFLRedStorm 0 Posted August 3, 2006 FWP and Plax. Tough one for me to cal, considering I just moved FWP, (See mine) but for an 11th rd pick, definately worth it.
ElvisMcCoy 0 Posted August 3, 2006 I'd keep Parker & Plax based on ADP I've got Hass ADP at 5.10 so that's about even. But Plax has a ADP of 4.10 so you'd get an 8th round pick for him. Whether your big on him or not he's the best choice.
Traveler 2 0 Posted August 3, 2006 I'd go Parker and Hasselbeck in a heart beat. It solves your QB problem and since his ADP is around 5th round your getting him at the right value anyway. I also agree with not keeping players if you just don't like them. I have a similar dislike for Burress and would not draft him if I didn't have to.

Whether your big on him or not he's the best choice. Ordinarilly I would agree with you, but in this league QBs go VERY early for some reason. Probably b/c they get 6 pts. per TD and not 4. And I know Palmer, Brady, Eli, Delhomme, & probably Brees will all be kept and unavailable which thins the QB pool significantly. And you know someone will take Manning in the first round. That would leave really Bulger and McNabb as the only remaining STUD QBs which are sure to go in the 2nd round (or sooner) in this league. So that's why I was thinking keeping Hass for a 5th and then picking up a couple WRs in the 3rd and 4th rounds.
Beezer025 0 Posted August 3, 2006 I think Parker is a no brainer.... I think you should go with Burress if your league starts more than 3 WR's because you're going to need depth there. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=218776
