WhiteWonder 2,171 Posted May 23, 2018 Purple, Nectar, Leesa, Casper etc... And what were your impressions? I'm considering one, they all have memorial day discounts. And all offer at least 100 day return policy. Want something in the mid-firm area.

WhiteWonder 2,171 Posted May 23, 2018 What is the benefit? Paying less for a memory foam style mattress than buying a tempurpedic? Comfort? I hate my current mattress and looking to switch it up.

Frozenbeernuts 1,652 Posted May 23, 2018 I bought the cheapest memory foam from Costco. I bought it because one person described it as sleeping on a piece of ply wood. Some others said it was too firm also. I like firm mattresses. It turns out, the people reviewing the product are idiots because it's actually the opposite, too soft

With the return policy you have nothing to lose no matter which company you go with. Read some reviews and pick the one that sounds best. It is amazing how many companies there are now to choose from, a few years ago when I got mine there were maybe 5. Personally I wouldn't drop $1000+ on a mattress in a box which is what many of the newer companies charge. I think they are just charging more because people are used to paying 4 figures for a mattress and the fact that T&N doesn't markup that high scares people away. WhiteWonder 2,171 Posted May 23, 2018 So no one has any of the type of mattres I'm talking about? The return policy sounds nice and long warranties. Last mattress I bought from sleepys they would not take it back even though it was still in the plastic

All of the brands I've listed are between 650-950 for a queen. Maybe 650-800 with some of thr memorial day deals. The matresses are 10-11 inches thick. And all the youtube reviews and comparisons leave me feeling that the quality it pretty good. Nit your cheapo bed in a box off amazon.

WhiteWonder 2,171 Posted May 23, 2018 www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=465379#entry6228640 Thank you for the link, wiff. As discussed in that thread, last mattress I bought was innerspring. I went too soft and also got a "euro top" which is just another form of pillow top. It's actually not so much the softness that I mind but the mattress has and never really had very good overall support so I'm looking for something that's soft yet supportive underneath those soft layers I think the poor support has led to a lot of aches and pains and memory foam style mattresses seem like they might offer that soft yet supportive feel. I say memory foam style because that Purple mattress uses a weird polymer material
WhiteWonder 2,171 Posted May 23, 2018 If you sleep hot avoid the memory foam mattresses and toppers. That's the main issue I remember hearing from when memory foam first came around. I don't sleep hot, most reviews seem to point to major strides having been made in that regard... and considering I have a pillow top, I can't imagine them retaining heat much more than that
