cdogge 17 Posted October 4, 2017 I'd bank more on Smith-Schuster again. Jags top 2 corners are legit. Middle of the field.... not so much.
Frozenbeernuts 1,652 Posted October 4, 2017 I would be hesitant to start Brown this week
cdogge 17 Posted October 4, 2017 Brown? I mean... I'd temper expectations but you can't really bench the guy unless you're playing in a 4 person league.
snatchit 108 Posted October 4, 2017 Brown? I mean... I'd temper expectations but you can't really bench the guy unless you're playing in a 4 person league. Ya Ramesy is no joke, I think Ben will look for Bryant and say F Brown this week... after last week. Especially if he is covered up. They need to get Bryant going
snatchit 108 Posted October 4, 2017 Of course you play Brown, just sayin
jgcrawfish 232 Posted October 4, 2017 I'd bank more on Smith-Schuster again. Jags top 2 corners are legit. Middle of the field.... not so much. This is a pretty logical statement. This game is going to be all about Bell again, and working the middle with Juju and the Outlaw (Jesse James). The Jags weakness is against the run and their interior coverage. With Big Ben's terrible passing, a guy like Bryant who typically does all his damage on 4 catches is a low percentage dart throw.

That will all depend on your WRs. I think we were all *hoping* for Bryant to be a must-start every week. But he isn't that yet. In my keeper league, I have AB, Hopkins, and Hogan. Bryant wouldn't see my starting lineup.

brotherbock 349 Posted October 4, 2017 Well Hogan is a bit different. Maybe your right I mean, I think my 3 WRs are pretty good. So I'm not saying I'd sit Bryant for just anyone. But I do think it's true that a Bryant 'blow up week' would likely outscore a Hopkins or Hogan big week. Bryant has a huge ceiling. But the consistency has been way off so far, Bryant's floor is just so low at the moment.
TennisMenace 156 Posted October 4, 2017 It's always been this way with MB. That is why he is called a BOOM OR BUST PLAYER.
brotherbock 349 Posted October 4, 2017 It's always been this way with MB. That is why he is called a BOOM OR BUST PLAYER. Sure. But with the way Ben is playing right now, I think Bryant is way way more bust than boom. If Ben gets his game turned around, different story. But he's not great right now. SaintsInDome2006 128 Posted October 4, 2017 I can't figure Pitt out. I was very excited to get Bryant but now I can't figure out what this offense is doing. I don't see anything wrong with the way Bryant is playing, but Haley just seems like he's stuck on a Bell OR Brown game plan.
tanatastic 2,061 Posted October 4, 2017 Steelers will boat race the jags, start all of them.

Ben has straight up missed an open Bryant on at least 4 throws that would have gone for TD's on each. The problem right now is under center.
Franknbeans 46 Posted October 5, 2017 10 straight games Ben has not thrown for over 300 yards. It'll be 11.

cavern 70 Posted October 5, 2017 yeah, i'm putting him in in a league that starts 2 flex spots. but i'm not really optimistic. it's good they're at home, but AB is definitely going to eat this week Gotta take a few shots to keep them honest. Just a matter of time before Ben and Bryant hookup big.
Flgatorguy87 160 Posted October 5, 2017 I think you beat Bouye over the top. Ramsey has AB on lockdown, so I think there's some merit to this idea.

Jarvis Basnight 119 Posted October 13, 2017 At home you start him Just go look at his stats. He's a much better ff wr at home. I looked at his stats. 3 of his best games ever were away between 2014/2015. @Cincinnati and @NY Jets in 2014. @Denver in 2015 Post season. I don't believe Big Ben is completely finished and I believe this offense is going to turn it around. When they do Martavis will be one of the beneficiaries. If you don't own, buy low. Maulers1973 117 Posted October 13, 2017 Not to excited about this week, but due to bye week and injury I have to use him. Big Ben on the road and Arrowhead is not an easy place to play. I don't have high hopes. Maybe he can get 1 long TD to go wtih a few short catches.

I don't have high hopes. Maybe he can get 1 long TD to go wtih a few short catches. Top 5 scoring RB's in week 5, and their pregame rankings: 1- Fournette (Pregame ranking on FFT = 6) 2- Gordon (Pregame ranking on FFT = 7) 3-McKinnon (Pregame ranking on FFT = 39) 4-A Jones (Pregame ranking on FFT = 20) 5- M Mack (Pregame ranking on FFT = Unranked) And it gets better as the top 10 is rounded out by Javorius Allen, Duke Johnson, Doug Martin, Charcandrick West, and Orleans Darkwa. The point is there are surprises every week. Rankings for each week or ROS are extremely speculative and tend to react heavily to the previous week or two from what I've witnessed. Maulers1973 117 Posted October 13, 2017 Recency bias is not the best way to win in FF. A more proactive approach is to analyze the matchup and try to determine how the opposing team can be exploited or not. Sadly, we're not the coach so a lot of it is speculation and hope that they'll see what we see. For example, you don't throw on the Jags. You just don't. Coach Tomlin gets that...........now. lol I expect a steady dose of Gurley on the ground against the Jags this Sunday. That doesn't mean Coach McVay will see it that way. The Football Guru 210 Posted October 13, 2017 I just heard a stat on Sirius XM that suggest 45.3 percent of the passes thrown in Bryant's direction this season have been "uncatchable."

This is a tune I've been singing since 2014, my first year in FF, when I wondered why Coach Pagano kept trotting Trent Richardson out there instead of my Ahmad Bradshaw. BuschWack 56 Posted October 13, 2017 The Martavis owner just offered me a trade. I'm the Zeke owner and also own McFadden and Morris. He offered me my choice between Martavis Bryant or Amari Cooper for Alfred Morris and Agholor. I keep McFadden. Not sure to jump on this.. even with Amari or Martavis upside. Agholor is proving himself.

Even then, until they prove otherwise I'd start Agholor over Cooper and Bryant.

I'm 4-1 and my thinking is that if I can keep McFadden and either Amari or Martavis start outperforming Agholor second have of season.. I'll be in a strong position when Zeke returns. I think I'll stay put.

And will you benefit more by getting whatever Bryant or Cooper ends up improving too? Both of those guys, even when they are 'on', are boom/bust guys. Half the time you'll get great games, the other half you'll get squat. If Bryant turns into the 'every week guy' a lot of us were hoping for, yeah. But I don't have hope at the moment.
