Marshall 98 Posted February 1, 2017 So today, I read what first seemed to be two diametrically opposed takes on Carson Palmer's future plans, posted within the space of a couple of hours. The first one really caught my attention: Jody Oehler @radiojody Very interesting: @mikejurecki just told me Carson Palmer has listed his home for sale, pulled kids out of school and moved out of state. https://twitter.com/radiojody/status/826574659487354880 ...while the second one was the usual Roto blurb: Cardinals coach Bruce Arians ultimately expects both Carson Palmer and Larry Fitzgerald to play in 2017. (although, if you check the source on that one, you have to wonder about Roto's interpretation) http://www.azcentral.com/story/sports/nfl/cardinals/2017/01/31/bruce-arians-talked-larry-fitzgerald-carson-palmer-nothing-confirm-yet/97295606/ Which way is the wind blowing in Arizona? Frozenbeernuts 1,652 Posted February 1, 2017 I wouldn't trust anything Roto says. They just throw any rumor they hear out there and make completely false statements about players.
weepaws 2,452 Posted February 1, 2017 I think he retires.
Marshall 98 Posted February 1, 2017 Meh. It's beginning to look like no real news, created to inflate a slooooooooooow offseason news cycle: Straight from Carson Palmer this morning : "No, my house in Arizona is not on the market. And every year we have taken off for offseason family adventures so there's nothing to read into there either." https://twitter.com/CardsMarkD/status/826821517719773184
weepaws 2,452 Posted February 1, 2017 Will him moving is no real news , but I still think he does indeed retire.
Frozenbeernuts 1,652 Posted February 2, 2017 I would be embarrassed to be as wrong as Rotoworld has been. Their opinions have zero thought into them besides cresting sensational headlines and are usually proven to be wrong.
Gepetto 979 Posted February 2, 2017 How does one pull one's kids out of school on February 1st? It's the middle of the school year.
cousinal111 57 Posted February 2, 2017 He's denying these reports now.
weepaws 2,452 Posted February 2, 2017 His kids school attendance would be the truth and the whole truth.
Cruzer 1,992 Posted February 2, 2017 Romo would look really strong in a Zona uniform.
Mike FF Today 607 Posted February 2, 2017 With Fitz coming back, it increases the chances of Palmer being back as well.
Marshall 98 Posted February 2, 2017 With Fitz coming back, it increases the chances of Palmer being back as well. That sounds about right. It's hard to imagine Fitz returning for an unknown quantity at QB.
Cruzer 1,992 Posted February 2, 2017 I would of swore I heard on the NFL Network this a.m. that Fritz was indeed coming back.
Donkey 34 Posted February 5, 2017 Romo would look really strong in a Zona uniform. Arians just said it's not gonna happen.
weepaws 2,452 Posted February 5, 2017 Until he gets hurt. I think someone will take a shot on Romo , and I think they might regret it.
BobSanders_33 127 Posted February 6, 2017 He is done. Just nothing left in the tank. Zona really needs to think long term about bringing in a QB or developing the future. If Tyrod was available he would be a nice addition. I think even Cutler gives them more at this point than Palmer. If you look back over Palmer's career he has been a turnover machine. Now he takes sacks and his deep balls tend to float.
