Bridgewater may not play again

I know he's not a QB1 and in some cases it was questionable if he would be a QB2. but right now it is looking like he may be neither due to injury.

My guess is that This is just another reason why Minny paid a high price for Bradford.

I am guessing they knew this injury could be a career ender and they didnt want to wait to find out.

Sad news.

From what I saw, the Vikings didn't expect him back for this upcoming season anyway.

But now I'm seeing that hemight be done.

Tough break.

And if I recall his injury was during a practice session right?

Not just the Vikings, everyone knew he might never play again. He almost lost his leg when it happened.

Or College players missing a bowl game that doesn't matter.

It's certainly not looking good for 2017 but I think it's a little early to call it a career.

2 years completely away from any kind of contact football can do wonders for the body.

We'll see.

Dude almost lost his leg. he is lucky to be walking. I am willing to bet he had a pretty good insurance policy covering something like this.

I knew it was serious when they said he was out for the year, but I didnt realize it was this bad at the time.

maybe that's because he wasnt really high on my fantasy radar.

either way, it is sad news. Hopefully he makes a full recovery

like I said before... VERY unfortunate. but when you go out and plaly with 300-350 lb monsters who can run, the chances of injury are pretty good over the course of the average career. This is one of the reasons why professional athletes make the kind of money they do.

Every time you go out and play a full contact sport there is the chance something like this can happen to you.

obviously the higher the level you play at, the more likely it is you will suffer an injury. There are an awful lot of talented people who never make the pros because they get seriously hurt in college before they ever make it.

The good news is... I don't think the situation is life threatening anymore. But it may kill his career. I do hope he makes a full recovery and can at least enjoy the millions he has made so far in retirement.

If he recovers to the point where he can play again.... all the better for him.

It was a non-contact injury

that's what makes its all the more bizarre. Howamy times you think he's been hit in his life. Did stupid that should have hurt himself. He goes down in practice to a turf monster? Kinda shittyy

It was a non-contact injury

maybe so.

but I do think a lot of these non contact injuries are brought on by the body being worn down by hits (and other things) that the body maybe was never meant to endure.

maybe the body handles it and then the body starts to break down at some point and the non contact injury is like stretching that elastic band just a LITTLE more and SNAP!

I dont pretend to be a doctor, but If I were a betting man I'd bet there are a lot more non contact injuries per capita in professional athletes than there is in the general population.

and no, I have no facts to back this up, and I'm sure if the NFL had the facts, they wouldn't be making them public.
