wiffleball 4,640 Posted October 17, 2018 Spy game was a great movie. It started Robert Redford and Brad Pitt and pretty much nobody else. It was incredibly well done. Incredibly smart and probably far more realistic then most of the so-called spy flicks out there. Not a lot of Jason Bourne jumping through Windows crap if you know what I mean. For me, it's one of those movies in the pantheon of I don't care what time it is or what I'm doing the next day, I got to stop and watch the movie. While Brad Pitt was in it, and certainly serve the role. This really was a master class taught entirely by Robert Redford. But again, he was assisted by taut storytelling and great written dialogue. If you ever get a chance and get sick of green screens and Thor and Loki and God knows what the fuc else, if you ever want to grow up and watch a real movie? Highly recommend this one. vuduchile 1,941 Posted October 17, 2018 Great movie. I saw it in the theater when it first came out and a couple of times since then. James Bond movies should aspire to be this good.
Reality 2,710 Posted October 17, 2018 Yup, simply a well done movie. If I'm looking for something to watch and that is on, I'm good for a few hours. Man on Fire is another one like that for me, not as realistic obviously but, just so well done.

seafoam1 1,879 Posted October 19, 2018 Haven't seen this yet, but one of my favorites is "No Way Out". Hackman and Costner were pretty good in this film.

wiffleball 4,640 Posted October 19, 2018 If we knew what real spies were like, they wouldn't be very good spies. Really, the only two real spies we know are Julia Child and Chuck Barris. you think they'd stand out more.
