Nick Foles on Sports Illustrated cover. Uh oh Philly

Recommended Posts

PHILADELPHIA -- The national media is officially on the the Nick Foles bandwagon, although fans might not be thrilled to have the latest outlet on board.

Sports Illustrated has Foles on this week's magazine cover, with a shot of him from the Eagles' snow-filled win over the Detroit Lions.

The cover reads: "A dreadful start, no home wins before November, another winter of discontent coming in Philly.....And then Nick Foles happened."

The immediate reaction from the fan base on the cover has been that Foles is now going to fall victim to the "Sports Illustrated cover jinx", in which the athlete who was on the cover is cursed for the rest of the season.

Foles is the third Eagles quarterback on the roster to have his own Sports Illustrated cover, with Michael Vick and Matt Barkley (while at USC) having graced the cover.

Is the Jinx real? We shall soon find out.

Yeah I believe in the jinx. Every time Magic was on the cover it took the Lakers six games to win a Finals championship.

How many games did it take them to win in 81, 84 and 86?
