Ajayi, Sproles Out; Clement Questionable

Recommended Posts

Per beat writer, Jeff McLane...

OUT: RB Jay Ajayi (back), RB Darren Sproles (hamstring).

QUESTIONABLE: RB Corey Clement (quadricep), LB Kamu Grugier-Hill (groin), WR Alshon Jeffery (shoulder), T Jason Peters (quadricep).

RB Corey Clement (quad) is a new addition to the injury report. Must have injured himself during Friday’s practice. Left the locker room before media showed. #Eagles may have to make a roster move if Ajayi, Sproles and Clement are out.

No one wants to be left with Smallwood.

They may have a better back in Adams anyway

Any chance Smallwood gets much action?

You just asked if 'small wood' would get much action. <heh, heh>

Assuming he plays, anyone starting Clement? Picked him up to start at my flex since Cook was ruled out. Should get plenty of opportunities.

Clements Quad injury likely will allow Smallwood, more than a minor involvement with Sundays game even though he fumbled week #2... Smallwood averaged 4yds per carry last week similar to his career average....If you have a real problem at RB this week with waiver pickups thin at that position, Smallwood might be a sneaky one week fill-in....

Reports state Clements is fine and good to go for tomorrow. He should get the bulk of the work.

Man I'm at odds.....If there were no injury i would go Corey Clement vs Indy over Dion Lewis at Jacksonville but the uncertainty makes me wanna stick with dion in a tough matchup. Thinking he is the safer option.....maybe. who knows

Almost identical touches between Clements & Smallwood, stat line also close, but edge to Smallwood with a rushing TD in Red Zone.....Smallwood was exactly what I assumed on the MB, a serviceable fill-in....If Ajayi is out again week #4 expect Smallwood to post similar stats splitting with Clements and worthy of a waiver pickup....
