New league needs a few owners

The Mike Ditka league needs a few serious owners. Basically an NFL Franchise theme. Each Franchise controls $50M which is spent on base salary and optional signing bonus (auction bid). Keep one Franchise player, one Franchise coach, and 4 others under multi-year contracts, (keeper league). There is also a two round rookie draft.

I still need a few owners. It's not nearly as complicated as it looks. We have a couple of advanced features that add a lot of fun, Budgets and Contracts.

 

Budgets: Each team has $50M to spend. You need $18M for base player salary, and about $10M to sign Free Agents during the season. That leaves $22M to spend on the player signing bonus during the auction draft.

 

Contracts: This is an advanced keeper system. You have a Franchise player a nd Franchise coach that you keep for a long as you want. You also have two 2 year contracts, and two 3 year contracts for an additional 4 keepers.

 

The format is a lot of fun, and takes Fantasy Football a step beyond a simple re-draft league.

Many people seem to be afraid to join an auction league. Those of us that have drafted that way feel it is the ONLY fair way to draft. Everyone has an equal opportunity to draft anyone.

 

The main fear is due to the unknown player values in an auction draft, because every league is different. I can help to clear up that concern in the Franchise Football league draft.

 

Each team will have about $22M to $26M to spend. Typically the top guys will go for about 25% of the available funds, so that is about $6M-$7M. Each team normally has 2-3 second level guys that get a signing bonus of $3M-$4M. That leaves about $1M-$2M each to round out your starting roster, and a few hundred thousand for each of the remaining bench player.

 

Auction draft start August 1st, so there’s only a couple of weeks left.

Pretty standard scoring, 6 pts for rushing or receiving TD, 4 pts for passing TD, -2 for an Int

.1 pts for every yard rushing or recieving, .1 pts for every 2.5 yards passing

2 bonus pts for 100 yards rushing or receiving, 2 pts for 250 yards passing, 1 bonus pts for TD over 50 yards

Coach gets 5 points for a win, -2 for a loss, and 1/2 point for every point scored more than the opponent.

I need a few more the online auction draft which starts August 1st, and lasts all month. If there are not any higher bids on a player after 3 days, the player goes off the bidding boards.
