Overall Projection Only Shows top 120 players

Recommended Posts

I just updated and the overall projection tab (combination of all QB, RB, WR, TE, etc) only shows the top 120 players. The slots for other players lower than 120 are blank.

Any idea how to get the remaining slots to populate?

I too would really like to know the best way to do this. I can tell you that it has to do with the "Rules" tab, the number of teams in your league and the number of players that you've specified as "Starters" + "Backups" (meaning your roster size). So if you are in a 10 team league and you've specified a roster size of 12 players (again, Starters+Backups) you are only going to see 120 players in the overall projection tab. Or your league/roster size could be bigger, but you've chosen to exclude certain positions (e.g., kickers, defense, etc) from the overall rankings on the "Rules" tab.

I'm in the same boat. I'd really like to see a deeper list of names in the Overall projection tab (I'm in a 10 team league, with 15 players per roster), I'm not excluding any positions, and I only see 150 entries on the Overall rankings tab. I'd love to know the best way to make that tab populate further.

Hi guys. The problem is a math problem. Great info in your post Bob. As you said, the overall list populates based on the starters + backups less excluded positions (K and DEF by default) * number of teams.

As far as Draft Buddy is concerned that is the extent that you need to draft for your league, so why would it show any more players? But the real question isn't "why", but "how". Once the settings have determined the overall rankings for a particular league setup, then how does it determine the next best player? Is a RB better than a WR? Is what would amount to an undrafted QB worth more than an undrafted RB? Mathematically, I cannot really tell Buddy how to figure that out.

What I always say to people though is the offense tab fills completely. If the overall list is exhausted, then you will still have many players listed on the offense tab. And, at that stage of the draft you will be drafting more for need. If you feel the RB need a boost, then you will put more emphasis on a RB. Same for quality of your receivers, impacted by your early picks in the draft. Plus, the tiers are important to help determine value in the late stages of the draft. So, I would focus more on the offense tab, as I think that will help you have a better draft once all is said and done.

Make sense?
