Just a reminder. Here's the format of what positions each team is supposed to draft:

  • 2 QBs
  • 4 RBs
  • 4 WRs
  • 1 TE
  • 1 PK
  • 1 D/ST
  • 3 flex players - Any position you see fit.

Not that it matters, but I'm pretty sure Andrew Hawkins plays for the Browns now.

No... Sorry

I assumed a guy like you playing in some serious big money leagues would keep on top of the rookie class..maybe spend a little less time talking guys durring a mock draft in July for small mistakes and look into him..

per roto:

Jets rookie TE Jace Amaro said he wants to "be a tight end that catches 100 balls a year."
It is a lofty goal, but Amaro has the skill set to be a big-time receiving threat for a Jets team in need of them. He is a prototypical "move" tight end that will threaten the seam and work the middle from the slot. Rookie tight ends have historically struggled to find success in the NFL, but Amaro is in a great position to buck that trend this season

Jets signed second-round TE Jace Amaro to a four-year contract.
The 49th overall pick, Amaro projects as a "move" tight end after lining up in the slot nearly 90 percent of the time last season for Texas Tech. He and Jeff Cumberland will form a 1-2 "punch" at tight end for Gang Green. Amaro should be the No. 2 or 3 option in the passing game for Geno Smith or Michael Vick

Jets selected Texas Tech TE Jace Amaro with the No. 49 overall pick in the 2014 NFL draft.

The Jets finally have their Dustin Keller replacement. Amaro (6-foot-5 3/8, 265) exploded onto the scene as a junior, posting a 106-1,352-7 line in the Red Raiders' spread offense. He lined up in the slot on 87.5 percent of his snaps. With respectable 4.72 speed, Amaro projects as a "move" tight end with a large catch radius (34-inch arms) and plus route-running chops. Amaro surprised evaluators at the Combine with 28 bench-press reps, demonstrating better-than-expected upper-body strength. Although not as dynamic as Eric Ebron or as physically dominant as Austin Seferian-Jenkins, Amaro should be an early NFL contributor with plenty of Dynasty league appeal. As the Jets' wideout depth chart is limited beyond Eric Decker, Amaro will be someone to monitor in re-draft formats this season.

He's a flier but somone I like late in drafts..

Haha yes he does. My bad.

Thinking he is going to get lots of looks this year. Browns starting qb really seems to like him. Might be their 2nd most dynamic receiver on the field after cameron.

Unfortunately this is a sad commentary on my drafting skills. Three players have been selected after already being picked. Two of them were on my team. It appears I'm reaching. -_-

Sorry for the "delay". The daughter was on the computer working on a paper. I tried to tell the wife that wasn't as important as a mock draft, but for some reason she wasn't having any of that.

13.10 Alex Smith. Thought about waiting at QB, but there are three other teams that need a QB and I didn't like what I thought I'd end up with. Smith finished last season on a tear (18 TDs to 3 INTs and 253 yards per game) his last 7 games. Hopefully that was because he finally got the rhythm of KC's offense and he'll pick right up where he left off. There's a lot of upside here.

13.12 Josh Gordon. Well, I thought it about right to take the gamble on Mr. Pothead here. He is great value now, if he gets suspended for a year, I am not out much. I have an excellent group of receivers to make up for a loss if he is out 16 games. Plus, I can still grab another WR if I want later.

My guess is, he'll get either a 4 or 8 game suspension. He'll work out some "deal" with the NFL and get a year-long suspension reduced. If I even get him for 8 games.... Watch Out!

Someone awhile back claimed they got the last TE that could produce like a # 1... I was thinking, no Heath Miller is still available

i hope you are right on gordon. i acquired him cheap in a keeper league to stash on the end of my bench. not sure though. my bet is on 16 games.

if i had better WRs i might have picked him where i took hawkins but since im a player thin, as i put it, i went with the guy i think will benefit the most from gordons absence.

14.03 Heath Miller. Miller certainly had a down year in 2013, but he was playing on a knee he shredded 9 months before. He is now a year removed from the injury and should be operating at 100%. Two years ago, when healthy, he posted a 70+ catch/800+yard campaign. The Steelers lost two of their WR and Big Ben's familiarity with Miller will work in Miller's favor. I like him as a #2 TE with the potential to push into a low end #1.

It's "off-hours" before a holiday weekend. I wasn't going to bother him.
