Anyone having worse luck than me this year?

Recommended Posts

Injuries: SJax, Bulger, Duece, Jordan (lost by one point this week since he got hurt), Grossman (not hurt, but he was my backup). 14 team redraft. QB can start in Flex. Needless to say there are not any decent Qbs or RBs left on the waiver wire. Here is this weeks starting lineup:

QB, Frerotte

RB, Leonard

RB, Dunn

WR, Driver

WR, Marshall (Housh is on a Bye)

Flex, Garrard

TE Dallas Clark

D, Titans (Vikings on a Bye)

K, Josh Brown

This has got to be the worst lineup produced in the history of Fantasy Football. I hate that injuries are going to ruin my season.

I got a ton of depth in a 14 team dynasty league but I feel the pain.

Deuce

AJ

Calvin

Heap

Jennings missed 2 games already.

Julius with concussions knocking him out early.

This seems like the worst year for injuries ever and we are only in 4 weeks.

We start 1qb/3rb/3wr/1te/1pk/1def/1flex

My lineup for this week:

QB: Cambell (Delhomme(plz recover) and Losman out)

RB:Foster, Wynn(mayhaps L.Washington), Buckhalter (Rudi on bye, B.Jacobs out)

WR: S.Smith, Galloway, Holmes (Housh on bye)

TE: Gates

Def: CHI

PK: Folk

Flex: Bowe (claimed off WW)

Last week I wasn't even able to field a QB. With S.Smith getting like 4 points, the entire Chicago DEF hurt, Delhomme and Losman being out, Jacobs going down, hopefully Rudi's isn't too serious.

Injuries have wrecked me so far this year :pointstosky:

Hopefully I can move Holmes or Bowe for a decent RB, and maybe salvage a .500 season.

The ICU name made me think of changing to Hospice Patients. Couple more CC and waters and I may change again. :o

My #1 pick was Maroney (not hurt, but he is hurting my sorry azz).

My other casualties are:

Bulger (needs "rest")

Andre Johnson (he'll be back soon...right???)

Cadillac (he was just depth anyway!)

Chad Johnson (I thought only Cowboys wore boots!)

It ain't easy...

16 team draft

drafted:

bulger-out

westy-out week 4, cuffed with buckhulter

jacobs- cuffed with ward - also got screwed because espn said he was inactive last week.

alex smith - went down down last game, 0 points. Only needed 3 to win.

clayton- hurt week 1 and didn't play.

so, i am 1-3, should be 2-3, but that's FF.

Guy that's 1-3 in my league has 2nd most point total behind 4-0 leader. He has Jordan and Henry too (both injured) He lost to me this past week by .27 points. Winner; thread closed.

Although it isn't injury related, I'd say my luck has been pretty bad in one league. I have the most points in this 12 team, 3 player keeper league, by 50points over #2, 110points over #4 and the last playoff spot.

I'm 0-4

Here is my team

Romo, Garrard

Addai, Bush, Jordan, TJones, Ward

Driver, Branch, McDonald, Clayton

Gates

Tynes

Houston

Definitely having the worst luck I've had in 10 years of FF:

In my 5-keeper, 16-team league, I expected to be in rebuilding mode (traded what value I had away to end up with 3 1st round picks & 2 2nd rounders in '08) and went into this season with only Randy Moss and Michael Turner as quality keepers. I was so desperate to get a starting running back and had a ton of questions about Moss after the last 3 seasons, so I traded him for...Deuce McAllister. Another ACL injury later (and he was already creeping into his 30s), and it will probably go down as the worst trade in the 6-year history of my league, even if Moss slows down.

In another league:

Lost Jordan and Addai a few hours apart. Both players' status is up in the air (and I had to waste bench spots on both Fargas who isn't the main backup and Kenton f'n Keith). Maurice Jones-Drew has been worthless and the one year I actually take a receiver with a high pick and the one year where receivers are proving to be the most valuable position, I pick the one player who was always consistently productive until now...Torry Holt. As a last ditch effort to make a run for title contention, I packaged MJD/Holt for Steven Jackson which would give me a nice trio of backs, but there's no timetable for his (or the others') returns.

In another league:

Lost Henry. Can start 2 QBs and both McNabb and Rivers are killing me and I keep benching Favre in fear that the first few weeks were flukes. Now I found out I don't have Santana Moss (who isn't great, but has a fantastic matchup vs. Detroit and this league rewards distance TDs).

But it's a good thing I'm an FF Today poster because I can say that despite these troubles, I'll still end the season winning championships in all three HIGHLY COMPETITIVE leagues! :(

Sounds like fun. I'll chime in with my drafted RB's too:

Rudi Johnson

Laurence Maroney

Brandon Jacobs

Carnell Williams

Jerious Norwood

My current roster includes Young and Pittman as well. For some reason, having the ability to choose two players among Jacobs/Norwood/Young/Pittman this week does not warm my heart.

Oh, and the QB's I will have faced after this week: Romo - Brady - Romo (trade) - Brady (trade) - P.Manning. Why couldn't it have been Bulger and Brees instead?

My season started with picking the last pick in the draft out of a hat when the piece of paper stuck to my hand. I should have seen it as an omen.

Not a bad team, but got crushed by teams who went nuts on me first 2 weeks. Week 3 I just had to over-think my QB decision and sat Romo in favor of Young on MNF. Lost by 5.

Last week I had Bush and Portis on a bye. I still had ADP playing and had to choose between Maroney or Ward as a #2.

Along with them I had Walker as questionable. Our league only lets you IR guys who are doubtful or out. First thing Sunday news comes out Ward is out. I plug in Maroney figuring he's just questionable.

Sunday night there's Ward starting and Maroney never hit the field. Lucky for me I couldn't get Sportsline to do a WW pick-up for Ward, was going after buckhalter. May have forfeited a win which I doubled the opponent(commish) even with an egg from Maroney.

If this is any help. I picked up Selvin Young, so Henry will probably play and go crazy, mark my words.

Ummm...lets see:

Deuce - knee shredded - out for season.

Caddy - knee shredded - out for season.

Henry - pothead - probably out for season.

Delhomme - elbow shredded - probably out for season.

Thought I was looking gooood at RB prior to week 1. I'm going to be down to scrubs now.

I'm in the same boat...2 and 2, hopefully I can weather the storm. Drafted from the 4 spot. PPR - 1QB, 2RB, 3WR/TE

Keeper - SJax

2.04 - Harrison

4.04 - Andre Johnson

7.09 - Deuce

9.09 - Lamont

Riding Edge, Cotchery and Dallas Clark to keep me above 500...think I just pulled my hammy.
