SLEEPER ALERT! Jerome Harrison vs Bengals

I love how Jerome Harrison is available for you guys. He got snatched fast in my league after last week's performance.
  2. The Train

Let's Start 'em and Sit 'em for Week 3!

I'm a Saints fan and even I wouldn't start their defense against Buffalo. I think the game will be a shoot out. Maybe there'll be a Sharper INT, but I wouldn't bank on it.

    Thinking of offering this trade

Thanks to all for the advice. I think I'll hold off on the trade and wait to see if any of the other teams get desperate for a WR. I would love to get Portis, but our Portis owner is the #1 in the league right now and not really looking to trade. Anyway, I'll just play the waiting game. Thanks again!
  4. .5 ppr league. All other rules standard Yahoo. I need RB. He needs WR. I'm thinking of offering Calvin Johnson for Willis McGahee. Am I insane? I know lots of people are high on CJ this year, but he hasn't given me a whole lot of confidence. I mean, Stafford is throwing to him. He didn't even get that many targets last week. I understand it's early to be hating on CJ, but I don't really feel that good about him. And if I lose him, I still have Andre Johnson and Desean Jackson/Mario Manningham to start in my WR slots. My RBs are abominable. Pierre Thomas when healthy will be my starter. Then I have Knowshon, Peyton Hillis, Michael Bush, and Lendale White who I'm trying to do with match-ups but even so they're still pretty unpredictable. Thoughts?

just got done draft, 12 teamer

I'd definitely start Kevin Smith this week. Brees was a good pick up. I'm a Saints fan so I might be biased, but I think this is going to be his best year. The running situation with Stecker, Bush, Pierre Thomas, and Deuce back should keep a lot open for him, and now he's got a good TE to throw to (and the Saints offense uses TE a lot). I think you can start him all year with great success. Even if the team loses, he will put up monster numbers. Expect 4000 yds and at least 30 tds for the season. LT is obviously a stud that won't disappoint. At WR I don't think you're too bad. I think Rodgers and Jennings will have good chemistry, better than Favre/Driver. Plus Coles is going to be a monster with Favre throwing to him. Bowe should be decent, but i don't think he'll do as well as some people think. Good luck.

    Some QB Help

Rivers vs. Car Hasselback vs. @Buf I'm leaning Rivers because Hasselback has no one to throw to and it's supposed to be raining in Buffalo tomorrow, so passing game is going to be tougher. Also I see Morris/Jones duo bringing more of a running game to Seattle. But with Rivers you always have the LT problem... they might not pass if he has a good game. Let me know. And leave yours, I'll try to help.

    Rate my Team

I've been playing FF for two years now and making the playoffs (still haven't gotten #1 yet tho). However, now I decided to go in a $$ league with some guys I know. It turned out that I seemed like the only one who knew what I was doing. When our #2 pick took Brady in the first and #6 took Manning, I knew something was wrong. Someone drafted Vinatieri in round 7 and someone else got Nick Folk in round 8. There was one round, maybe 9th, where everyone but me took a defense. I think my team is stacked, especially at WR. I had #3 overall pick. Let me know if I'm just crazy or if this team is really good. Btw, it's a 10-team non-PPR. QB Hasselbeck, Rivers WR Reggie Wayne, AJ, Brandon Marshall (can't wait till he's back), Kevin Curtis, Nate Burleson RB AP, Jamal Lewis, Willie Parker, Julius Jones, DeAngelo Williams TE Chris Cooley K Mason Crosby DEF Arizona (plan to play waiver w/ DEF.. I like ARI first week against SF) Obviously my weakness is QB, but I like Seahawks chances at passing all day (as usual), and for Rivers to turn into a Top 10 QB.
  8. The Train

Anyone else play Favre, Jennings AND Grant yesterday?

I think Hanson's performance might have me lose this week... which would put me out of playoff reach. I just have to hope LT gets held to manageable stats.

Help Me with my Roster and I'll Return the Favor ASAP

If you're 7-2 I wouldn't go nuts with anything. Chris Henry has a good chance at a big game this week, but I don't know if it's worth the gamble.
  10. The Train

    Drop Javon Walker?

I've got Walker in one of my leagues, and I'm holding on to him. Do whatever roster voodoo is necessary, but keep him around. If you believe the Chris Henry buzz, which I think is quite credible, then you might want to consider dropping someone to get him. However, if you've got a good record, I wouldn't get hasty. Don't fix what isn't broken.
  11. I have a lot of really good WR options this week. I'm not sure who to start and who to sit. Wayne @SD - Didn't look too hot against NE with a couple big drops. Also, I expect Indy to run all day with Addai against the now obviously terrible SD run Defense. That said, he is a stud. Crayton @NYG - What can I say? The Cowboys are hot and he's a #2 WR, but where the hell was he last week? And the week before? He started off good but hasn't done anything lately. Patten @ STL - Patten is coming off a few good weeks. Brees seems to be targetting him a lot, and he gets a lot of deep balls. I expect him to get at least 1 TD against the trashy STL def. Jennings @ MIN - Minnesota is good at Run defense... that's about it. I expect Favre to Carve them up. Jennings is one of his main red zone targets, so I've got to expect a lot. Engram @SF - Hasselback is making Engram his #1 man. Last week he got 14 catches!! Even with Branch potentially back, Bobby should have a good day. Let me know what you think... if you think any of my assessments are wrong or whatever. As it stands now, I'm thinking Wayne (just cuz he's a stud), Jennings, and Engram. Thanks in advance...

    WR / RB Issues

Thank you, I think I'll go with your choices.
  13. The Train

    Trade Ronnie Brown?

I have Frank Gore. He's nothing special. If you're 4-0, you're good. Don't fix what's not broken. Thanks for mine.
  14. The Train

    WR / RB Issues

Pick 2. Crayton @ BUF Jennings @ CHI James Jones @ CHI I'm liking Jones after that TD last week. I think he's going to be a nice deep threat as defenses focus on Driver. However, should I start Jennings too, in hopes that Favre will score with both (like last week)? Or maybe I should go with Crayton... it's a good match-up and he's coming off a great week. Thanks for the input. Pick 1 DeShaun Foster @ NO Clinton Portis @ DET Portis is splitting the ball, but I think he's still the good pick here. Foster was benched during practice on Wednesday due to coach's decision. It seems they're pissed at him for fumbling twice (losing one), but I could be wrong about that. Leave yours and I'll get to them tonight.
  15. The Train

    LenWhale White sick?

The Rudi Johnson injury/bye back-to-back is ruining me, since Frank Gore isn't pulling his #3 overall weight. Somehow I wish I would've drafted a WR in round 2 (but Randy, who knew he'd be this good?).
