rrmcguire 36 Posted September 16, 2018 He got hurt in warmups? If he's out next week do you still hold him? Would probably drop Alf Morris
polecatt 399 Posted September 16, 2018 I don't know that I would hold an injured Kicker but if you do he's one of the few If you have some crazy inflated scoring for long FGs or something it's worth thinking about
rrmcguire 36 Posted September 16, 2018 Yeah we get 6 for field goals over
polecatt 399 Posted September 16, 2018 I would probably keep him over Morris, he's not doing anything in Detroit
yanko 11 Posted September 16, 2018 What happened? Did he get tackled by the kicking net?
Frozenbeernuts 1,652 Posted September 16, 2018 He is oddly injury prone for a kicker
Donkey 34 Posted September 17, 2018 Well obviously the answer depends on roster size and how long he'll be out. I own him and will try to hold but will have to see how things develop.
cousinal111 57 Posted September 17, 2018 Team that has him in my league is down 11 with Russell Wilson left going against Jordan Howard. That'll be tough to swallow if he loses.
TheUsualSuspect 207 Posted September 17, 2018 Yeah we get 6 for field goals over 50 Proposterous.
cousinal111 57 Posted September 17, 2018 Proposterous. A 50 yard FG as good as a 1 yard TD run...that's why I'm totally against kicker bonus points.
kutulu 1,541 Posted September 17, 2018 Rams fan in my league who is overloaded with Rams players played Greg the leg and lost by five points. The punter who filled in a little had four. D'oh!
Fearsome 22 Posted September 17, 2018 Rams to sign Sam Ficken. He kicked for LA last season when Zuerlein was hurt at the end of the season. He's solid. Zuerlein not on IR so he'll be back. Add Ficken as a handcuff and wait for Legatron. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000963462/article/rams-expected-to-sign-ficken-with-zuerlein-sidelined
rrmcguire 36 Posted September 17, 2018 would you drop Alf Morris then for Ficken? Other kickers are McManus, Crosby, Succoup, I guess we're talking about a kicker here, but I don't want to let Zeurlein go if its a minor injury this early into the season My other backs besides Alf are Fournette, Miller, Yeldon, Burkhead, Aaron Jones

rrmcguire 36 Posted September 17, 2018 no, I only have Zeurlein, but could also pick up one of the others listed above instead of Ficken

He had a career day yesterday and the Packers offense has been stalling a lot in the red zone without a solid run game and a gimpy Rodgers. But Ficken, only because of the Rams offense, would be second on that list. Could see a lot of Rams FG tries upcoming too. Their next 6 are vs. LAC, vs. MIN, @ SEA, @ DEN, @ SF, vs. GB. There are some very good defenses there.
rrmcguire 36 Posted September 17, 2018 would you still keep Zeurlein?
Fearsome 22 Posted September 17, 2018 would you still keep Zeurlein? Absolutely. He's the best kicker in the league and money from 50+. Last year was a back issue and their calling this one a groin which is worrisome but if you let him go, someone in your league will snatch him up in less than 24 hours guaranteed. When that happens it makes you sick. If you can have the #1 player at any position you keep him. Last year he averaged 11 NFL points per game.
rrmcguire 36 Posted September 17, 2018 I guess now I could try and grab Bailey, but pretty sure someone in my league will use their waiver on him

rrmcguire 36 Posted September 17, 2018 9th on my waivers so doubt I get him, but will definitely try the next morning, if not will snag Crosby or Ficken until Legatron gets back.

The PosterFormerlyKnownAs 61 Posted September 18, 2018 A 50 yard FG as good as a 1 yard TD run...that's why I'm totally against kicker bonus points. 50 yard FG should be worth more IMO.

WR Guru 31 Posted September 18, 2018 He is oddly injury prone for a kicker My thoughts exactly. 2 different injuries to a kicker causing him to miss games in less than a year. Barely held on to win by a point and a half this week with Legatron's surprise goose egg. But he's such a weapon on that team now. Head and shoulders above any other kicker for fantasy purposes. Led the league in scoring by a wide margin last year despite missing 2 games. Gotta hold onto him if your league has an injury slot or you can afford the dead roster spot for a few weeks. Picking up Ficken to hold down the fort just because I expect the scoring volume for the Rams to remain very high. Good offense combined with short fields because of an excellent defense. Mullog 12 Posted September 18, 2018 Lost by 3 stinking points because of this injury-prone #%$@&*. If I'm going to hold onto Greg "Girly Groin" Zuerlein I'd have to drop my lottery ticket for the second half (Ronald Jones) to pick up a temporary replacement. weepaws 2,451 Posted September 18, 2018 I would keep Jones. If you drop I would pick him up quickly. Barber isn’t the answer. I see Jones getting more and more reps going forward.
Mullog 12 Posted September 18, 2018 I would keep Jones. If you drop I would pick him up quickly. Barber isn’t the answer. I see Jones getting more and more reps going forward. That's what I'm leaning towards. Going to take my medicine for reaching for a kicker before the 10th round. This is where it gets you. You would think after 28 years of playing fantasy football I would know not to draft a kicker until the last few rounds. My money league started giving 5 points for 50+ yard FGs and I fell for it.
