Orlando Florida Kinda sucks

Traffic is lousy. But it seems mostly due the the traffic lights at intersections being ungodly long.

 

And......

I thought I would fill my rental car before my early flight tomorrow. One gas station is at 595/gallon. One across the street was 650/gallon. These two stations are on the main strip to the airport.

Worst gouging I have ever seen. I drove about a mile away from the airport and paid 223.

I get 30-40 cent bump for the last station before the rental car return.

 

This was nuts. F you Orlando enforcement for allowing it.

City leaders got complaints a couple years back about those gas stations screwing over tourists.... they're the only gas stations in town that didn't post their prices on their signs. So the city passed an ordinance that says they HAVE to post their prices. Meh.... screw tourists.

 

I'm 6th+ generation in Orlando... my relatives helped settle the town in the late 1800's. When I grew up in the 70's, it was still a quaint little town. But Disney World changed everything. Now Orlando is a giant metropolis with traffic and crime like all big cities. Sucks.
