I just bought low on OBJ

Recommended Posts

Can he start to turn it around? It seems like his schedule gets better and Eli can't get worse right?

Rick's team

Odell Beckham Jr. NYG - WR

Andy Dalton Cin - QB

Donte Moncrief Jax - WR

Traded to

Fornettes follies

Chris Thompson Was - RB

Quincy Enunwa NYJ - WR

Jameis Winston TB - QB

Ppr Superflex which basically means unless you have a stud rb/wr you play a qb there.

He has Jackson and wants to stack Winston with him. Thompson has scored 20 a game in 2 of his 3 games but would slot in as a starter for him. Enwwa has been serviceable as a 3.

I have Boyd and wanted that Dalton stack and I like objs schedule as we go. He starts facing good matchups it seems. If Moncrief breaks out that would be a nice way to flip for a rb too.

Sucker.......eli is scared of losing his health and very immobile. Do you think he can move like Mahomes or Watson.....

Seems like a buy low, sell low trade. At least you got the healthy end.

I was able to move some players that I was not really happy having. They all have warts. However I hate Winston. I ended up with him by default when someone dropped him after Fitzpatrick blew up.

Thompson is so gameflow dependant that he is a risk each time he starts to either have 20 points or 0.

Enewa is a great wr. But man the qb play is just not up to the level needed to support him.

Also. They were all bench players.

As long as you have RB depth I think it's fine. I wasn't trying to imply you did poorly.

Just got OBJ for Kenny Golladay and Lamar Miller.

Golladay May outperform OBJ this year. Stafford has time to find him. Eli doesn’t.

I have OBJ and was content to stick it out with him.

But someone offered me Calvin Ridley and Matt Breida for him last night.

While I think Beckham will continue to see more targets than Ridley, I think Ridley's ability to cut and get open is special. It's already resulted in a league-leading 6 touchdowns. The fact that he's working with Matt Ryan and not Eli Manning is a plus. I also like that defenses have to pay attention to Julio. It's a keeper league and if Ridley doesn't approach the high-end WR2 area this year, he may hit that level and beyond next year. The fact that Breida has a great matchup vs ARI Sunday is icing on the cake.

If someone thinks I'm crazy for pulling the trigger on this trade, I'd love it if you spoke up.

I think Kilroy got the better end of the deal as I see Beckham > Thompson and Dalton-Moncrief being arguably at least equivalent to Winston-Enunwa.

Personally, I think it is a great time to buy OBJ, not sell. However, that is a very generous offer....which I would pull the trigger on.

I like that deal for you

If you play 2 QBs you got a good deal switching Winston for Dalton

Chris Thompson is good but not close to OBJ

I don't know that OBJ will put up top 5 numbers but he will be a very strong starter for you and have some big weeks for sure

I'm going to say that OBJ still doesn't look healthy to me. Even when Eli gets him the ball he doesn't seem as fast or elusive as he did previously. I think the Giants may get it figured out when Engram returns and they have a the full compliment of weapons. But I really don't see Beckham finishing much higher than 8-10 in WR's at season end because that line is bad.

I flipped him and hyde this morning for saquan Barkley. In that deal I did yesterday i really wanted dalton. Obj was not something I thought he would give up. Kinda shocked me he would trade him and he has name value.

I might have overpaid. I might not have. Time will tell

It still leaves me with

T. Hill

k.allen

M.evans

T.Boyd

Moncrief

Kotee

Leaves me with

Sandinmyvagina fornette

Barkley

Breida

Carson

Conor

Wow, your league likes to trade. No one wants to trade with me at all. I guess they are mad at me for trading My Ekeler for DJ. The trade was vetoed so I guess I have been blackballed.

because of the scoring system you can build a winning team in different ways. As a result of that we have typically around 25 trades a year.

The question is.....how good is Breida and how badly do you need a 10 point RB.

OBJ>Ridley but a much needed decent, not great, RB tips it in your favor

Interesting trade. I’m not a fan of Cooper but he did show some life recently, so maybe they are finding a way to get him open. Lewis should be much more productive as Mariota gets healthier so I like that. You did well.

Thats a good veto. I am always in favor of letting guys value their own players and only veto if Is collusion or tanking. This would qualify as tanking to me. If it is not, I would classify under conduct detrimental to league integrity. Basically a dumbfock protection rule that prevents a moron or taco from causing unnecessary imbalance. A rule that should be very rarely implemented but in this case justified.

Gotta disagree with you on this one, tan. Because of their different team situations, Elk could end up outscoring DJ this season. Likely not.....but not unreasonable. I think that you would be falling for the old name recognition veto.

So many guys blasted him on our message board so I asked him if he had second thoughts and now regrets making the trade. He said he did, so before it was even vetoed I assured him I would trade him back if it went through. Well, I didn’t have to because of the veto.

But, I can see both sides of the argument. Ekeler started hot and was the talk of the town while DJ was languishing behind a bad OL and HC.

By that same logic he could end up outscoring Gurley too. Gurley could get hurt and Legarrette Blount could outscore him as far as we know. Dede Westbrook could outscore Antonio Brown but I’ll bet your league would be pissed if the AB owner did that. It’s a slippery slope I know, I never veto anything. But in some cases, league integrity needs to be preserved.

I used it earlier this year in a 3 for 1 deal. 1 100 percent owned player for 100 percent a 95 and a 90. I vetoed it as being too off balance and I would do it again. They came back the week after with one that was closer. I look at it from every angle before I veto but this was just too far lopsided. Had this been in week 8 and not 2 I would have considered it player dumping.

Story time. Last season, a team in first place traded Melvin Gordon, a top 5 guy for Tarik Cohen and Hogan coming off injury. Cohen hadn’t done anything in a month and Hogan not much either. I let the trade happen because Gordon owner wasn’t 0-6, he was in first place. Granted, it was moronic, but I let it happen. He missed the playoffs and cost himself a SURE title (I did the math). This guy is also a two time champ. He’s just not good at FF, gets lucky every year and never has to make meaningful roster decisions. The first one he makes, he blows up his whole season.

We call this the Dylan rule now. Not tanking, not collusion, but too dumb to allow.

Glad you said that...I honestly think I’ve been blackballed...i don’t think the other owners want me to get a solid RB to go along with my two stud WRs, stud TE, stud Kicker, and stud qb. They know my weakness is at RB.

That’s why voting systems are bad. Of course your opponents don’t want you to get better. They don’t want you trading from strength to shore up weakness. Why would they? Why would anyone be ok with their opposition getting stronger?

this. I am the commish in one league. I hold sole veto power. I have vetoed 2 in 4 year out of probably 100 trades. No crap. The league trades a lot based off the setup.

Sent K. Hunt, Kupp, Olsen, and Hines for Julio, Mixon, and Njoku. Just because I needed a te this week. We shall see how that plays out...
