himmystyles 29 Posted August 21, 2014 If you guys are planning on going wr/wr at the end of the draft in a ppr, which of these two would you take, and if you can only have one which one would it be?
Kent 228 Posted August 21, 2014 Julio. I don't think we've seen his ceiling. The other two I think we have.
Criper 24 Posted August 21, 2014 I take Julio and Marshall before Green. Julio has the highest ceiling, and with Hue Jackson calling plays in Cincy this year, I expect a slight regression in Green's numbers this year.

snatchit 108 Posted August 21, 2014 Boy do I have a different opinion... as usual. I would say AJ Green over both of those guys. Don't buy into Hue Jackson not throwing the ball, he has never had an AJ Green before.
Upper Class Trash 67 Posted August 21, 2014 Boy do I have a different opinion... as usual. I would say AJ Green over both of those guys. Don't buy into Hue Jackson not throwing the ball, he has never had an AJ Green before. Finally, someone who gets it!!! Hue loves to run and throw down the field. No way does AJ fall off like some people are predicting. It's a case of them not understanding the philosophy of the new Coordinator. I would go with AJ and Marshall, without hesitation. tanatastic 2,061 Posted August 21, 2014 Julio. I don't think we've seen his ceiling. The other two I think we have. If we have seen the ceiling of the other two guys, I like what I see. AJ then Marshall then Julio. Boy do I have a different opinion... as usual. I would say AJ Green over both of those guys. Don't buy into Hue Jackson not throwing the ball, he has never had an AJ Green before. I also dont buy it. Running the ball is fun in the first qtr but to actually move the ball you need to pass. Business as usual for AJ, and buiness is good.
Prof Poopcicle 3 Posted August 21, 2014 I think you go Marshall in PPR-- then probably AJ just cause i'd feel safer given Julio's injury history.. If Julio is healthy though, no question he is the pick over green imo
snatchit 108 Posted August 21, 2014 We haven't seen AJ's ceiling AT ALL.. He is just 24,
WhiteWonder 2,171 Posted August 21, 2014 Marshall, Jones, AJ but its splitting hairs. AJ will still get his. maybe a very minor regression but nothing worth passing him over or dropping him down in rankings. Jones has injured the same foot how many times now? that would give me the slightest cause for concern. marshall just seems like the safest, steadiest guy in a great offense with a QB who loves him. weepaws 2,459 Posted August 21, 2014 Marshall Green Jones
Criper 24 Posted August 21, 2014 Julio is just 25 as well, and showed a glimpse of what he is capable of last year. I said "I expect a slight regression in Green's numbers this year", and I'll stand by that. No I don't think AJ falls off a cliff or anything, but I think it's pretty evident that Dalton is not going to throw close to 600 times like last year under Gruden, and will be closer to 500 attempts. Green will still get his for sure, but Green has never topped 100 catches, while Marshall is a virtual lock for 100, and Julio was on pace for 130+ catches last year and over 1800 yards thru 5 games prior to injury. Atlanta's done nothing to fix their D, and they will be playing from behind a lot again this year, which bodes well for Julio. Cincy has a very good D and an OC who loves to pound the rock and take his shots downfield. They want Dalton to be more of a game manager and not turn the ball over. Is Green a safer pick than Julio? Sure he is, but again, in the offenses they play, Julio's upside is greater than AJ IMO. Give me the two guys on the teams that pass first (JJ & BM) versus the team that wants to run the ball 500+ times and wants their QB to be a game manager. Squintz82 45 Posted August 21, 2014 A lot of people are forgetting that Julio will be sharing looks with Roddy White. Who prior to last season was Ryan's security blanket.

Stewburtx8 67 Posted August 21, 2014 I pretty much only speak to PPR leagues, but: Julio Jones has the highest ceiling. Brandon Marshall is probably the safest and most consistent. AJ Green probably finishes 2nd in both those categories. So I could easily make an argument for any of them. It really depends on your risk tolerance in my opinion. FakeFoozballIzFun 6 Posted August 22, 2014 Julio has the highest ceiling but his injury risk isn't being accounted for in his ADP imo. With this being the 2nd surgery on the same foot there is a very high chance that he is not as effective as last year/has nagging injuries all year/injures the foot again. I'd go AJ, Bmarsh, Julio. Judging by the preseason and Julio saying the foot is a non-issue now, I must side with the guy who was on pace for 130 catches last year and now with no Tony G makes my mouth water! Frozenbeernuts 1,652 Posted September 1, 2014 Bmarsh safest receiver. Julio biggest upside.
Flgatorguy87 160 Posted September 1, 2014 Bmarsh has to be one of them in PPR, so that's my first pick. I think Julio has huge upside but AJ has just about as much and hasn't had issues with a nagging reoccurring injury. I need safe bets at this stage so I would pick AJ to pair with Bmarsh. himmystyles 29 Posted September 1, 2014 AJ ended up going at 11, so I went bmarsh and Peyton (6 pts all tds, 25 yrds per point with bonuses). Was able to get Kennan Allen in the third coming back- think he might put up just as good numbers as AJ this year so I'm happy

Brees went 11 at my draft then at 12 and 13 I paired Dez with Julio. Then it went Lynch, Marshall, AJ. I got Andre in the 3rd so I'm very happy as well. I'm going for the gold. Protected Julio by drafting Floyd and Crabs in the 5th and 6th round. We'll talk later but if Julio stays healthy he will be top 1 or 2 at most WR this year! BEAST MODE! snatchit 108 Posted September 2, 2014 to be honest they are very close, but Green is by far the safest.... so include him
polecatt 402 Posted September 2, 2014 AJ and Marshall. They are the most reliable 2 of the 3. Julio's foot is a major concern. Overall, AJ. I think he is the best overall of the 3 in fantasy and real football. He is in an offense that is shaping up to be a pretty good one.
