Did you hear about Trump's little look-at-me moment this morning? He threw a little temper tantrum and threatened that he wasn't going to sign the bill after all? Well, turns out that even one of the idiots on Fox & Friends this morning criticized the bill. That's what started his little temper tantrum. Wait till you see the highlights or lowlights as they were. Art of the deal my ass. lol

Oh you really should get out of this bored a little more. Go check out the places / folks I listed.

One of my favorites was a Republican Senator (LA) who said something to the effect of "This is a Great Dane sized piss down the leg of the Amurican people!" and "This Sucks!"" LOL

But seriously, just go check out your fave 'conservative' - they're likely fuming - or eerily silent. Igraham is going to be a hoot tonight. Coulter is furious.

To wit, the Art of the Squeal:

  1. No $ for Wall.
  2. No cuts to Sanct Cities
  3. No "1,000 new ICE agents!"
  4. No cuts to Planned Phood
  5. No expansion to so called "School Choice" (vouchers)
  6. No cuts to Pell Grants/Head Start, etc
  7. No cuts to EPA

- All things that Trump had vowed to do. (Except - ya know, Messico paying for the wall...)

But, hey, it's not all "NO"

YES to New Russia Sanctions plus funding to fight them. (Trump's pissed)

and

To really twist the knife? Some tunnel project that Schumer wanted? YES - Funded Baby!

This is a win for The Swamp!

I looked for a detailed breakdown of this bill online and it is funny, I saw that fox and friends said the same exact message as your quote.

Although I agree with you, we are spending over 100 Billion with a b more on military than we are on domestic. Talk about globalism. It does not get more swampish than lining the pockets of Lockheed martin, Boeing, etc.

If ever we needed Ron paul it is now.

Im glad all the nutty Betsy DeVos crap was left out. No funding for the useless wall is another win. I think our military is already bloated, but I realize military spending is propping up the entire economy.

I also like this part.

Guns: The bill has three significant measures on guns: 1) The 'Fix NICS' measure will push agencies to submit more data to the current background check system; 2) The STOP School Violence Act funds grants for schools to increase security and learn how to identify potential threats; and 3) The bill clarifies that federal dollars can be used to research gun violence, reversing the existing de facto ban on federally funded gun research. Pg. 1,971.

This part bugs me the most.

The CLOUD Act: This highly significant cyber measure sets new standards for when a government seeks data held in a location outside of that country. That could affect U.S. citizens' data that is stored overseas. It's a complex measure that has strong industry supporters, as well as consumer advocate opponents. Pg. 2,201.

The bill includes raises for our military. Make sure no one acknowledges that.

Mobb maybe you can enlighten me. Why are vouchers a bad thing?

Voucher kids are basically home schooled kids, without the weirdo parents teaching them. Its other kids weirdo parents instead.

Wrong.. I pay a shitton of local taxes.. and pay for private school.. would rather have the choice to spend my kids share towards the private school than towards the system we think inferior.

yah I thought so Mobb, you don't know what a voucher is

a Voucher say in California (the avg kid to goto public school) costs about 11,000 a year. A voucher would be a credit, should the parents chose to use it to pay for private school

it also would allow an inner city kid a chance to goto schools in different areas

In DeVos and trumps case, vouchers are a means toward eliminating the public school system. It's basically government-subsidized private education. Which would lead to private education corporations and other for-profit entities.

And, like any other for-profit, the emphasis would be on the bottom line. So, for example, special needs students require more care which means more man hours which means more cost.

Parents who keep their kids in traditional Public Schools would find those schools receiving less and less funding as more and more students go to private for-profit institutions. And, because the vouchers certainly don't cover 100% of the cost, the poorest families would end up in the worst schools.

And that's only one aspect of it. If you look at Trump's crew, they found ways to make hundreds of millions of dollars during the last Great Recession on everything from school loans to reverse mortgages. So, think along those lines too.

If you look at the various department heads the Trump brought in, they were brought in for their competence. They were brought in 2 destroy and eliminate their respective charges. DeVos is no different.

He reluctantly signed it to avoid a gov shutdown right? Strange stuff going on, plus they still think this insipid Wall is going to break ground.

I'd like the voucher system. The one we have now has the teachers union having more of a say in how a child is educated than the parents. Normally that would be ok if the teachers were level headed professionals, but they ain't.

How many budgets did Obama have when in office? How many of these did he get? Did he follow all the 'instructions' on how the money is to be spent? How much of the funding is set in stone?

Trump has A LOT of latitude with this bill if he chooses.

I think we broke wiff's heart by busting up his narrative. Apparently he's done gone back to da drawing board.

Possibly. More likely they're just waiting for their liberal masters on the DNC/MSNBC/HuffPo plantation to give them the next round of fake news and talking points to spew to the masses to mislead and misdirect from the truth.

Be patient. They'll be back in all of their lyin' glory.

The judge on Fox with really annoying voice is about to lose her gourd. Seriously, I think she's going to have a stroke over this spending Bill. One thing among others that she gets horribly wrong. She thinks that all of our opioids are coming from Mexico. No honey, you should look at the record profits from Purdue and other American Drug manufacturers.

Still, just the fact that she's losing her gourd is entertaining enough.

I'm sorry, what are you babbling about now? Every bullet point in the o p is spot-on. What narrative is there? It's black and white. Lol

New narrative from Fox on the other hand. It's all congress's fault! Hey, remember when Trump was trying to bash Obama for not being able to work with Congress? And have Trump brags that he was a deal maker and he could make the deals with Congress and get along with just about anybody?

Too funny.

GOP controls both houses and still Trump can't apparently get what he wants? Methinks he doth protest a little too much. This way he gets to blame Congress and not take any responsibility for being, you know, president and dealmaker in Chief.

Pelosi and Schumer rubbing it in Trumps face makes me think of Obama at that press dinner where he went after Trump. I'd wait before jumping on the pile. Especially following those two idiots.

Now? Hes the savior. The only one they can trust.

I always wondered how those cults of personality got going. Now Ive seen it myself.

No. Not at all. It came down to the alternative for the majority of people. That being said, his policies are in line with a lot of Americans. Hers were not. The choice was simple. She sucked, as did her policies. He sucked as well, but his policies jived with many people. Nothing to do with cult of personality. That was the guy before him.
