If I have to use a draft magazine ?

I usually buy a NFL Preview magazine that doesn't focus on FF, stick it in the bathroom and study 10-15 minutes each morning. Then bring it to the draft and throw it on the table. Some clown will pick it up at some point lick his fingers and start turning pages. I laugh hysterically knowing that it's been in my shitter for 3 months. Been spreading diseases like this for years.
  10. I remember that and MKB4

Nice. I'm sure you remember the Thanksgiving Day game when Bettis called heads then tails on the OT coin flip. Good times! You bet, Homework was the key and those who did it did much better than those who didn't. I had notebooks full of stats and random information from the off-season. I ranked offensive lines and charted player movement. I studied box scores trying to figure out matchups and would watch ESPN over and over to make sure I didn't miss some little detail. It was a time consuming passion that my wife hated.---It still is.

Not only did I drink that Kool-Aid last year, I made it. I wish I wasn't a glutton for punishment, he's on my later round list this year too.

    Classic Fantasy Football

Detroit Free Press? I started playing in 1994(?) and was owner #7. I'm pretty sure the league founders had had their owe website for several years before that. Scores, updates, all-time highs, rules, transactions, line-up and info were posted on. The Originals are all still there and very few owners have ever left the league. A well run league has very little turnover! We were always an auction league that redrafted, and had a scoring system that many have copied. We could either email or call-in (to an Original) our line-ups. I can't ever remember there being a problem with line-ups or scoring that wasn't an honest mistake and easily fixed. Monday morning was huge, the morning paper scoring was fun, although, I haven't bothered to double check the numbers in years, the guys are honest. There have been some tweaks to scoring, line-up options and auction format, but the league hasn't changed much. We capped the number of owners several years ago and made 2 divisions. There is a waiting list to get in and any new owner is "vetted" and must be OK'd by ALL owners. 1 "no" and you go to the bottom of the list. Now that I stop and think about it, I'm damn lucky to be in this league. Well done guys.

    First Time Auction Draft

    1. Spend your money on RB's (60-70%) 2. You can always find a good QB in middle rounds (Cam and Eli last year) 3. Draft as many WR's as possible in the later rounds (Jordy, Cruz and A. Brown last year) 4. Keep track of your money and everyother owners money 5. If your RB doesn't have a good hand-cuff go after the best possible RB handcuff-you can trade them later
