There wasn't much of a fight she just said she doesn't love me anymore and owes it to herself to be happy. I thought about putting my foot down on taking our kid but let's get real here I'm a terrible dad and she's going to get custody anyway. I asked if there was someone else and she said no but ive found text messages and emails to a coworker that are more than friendly if you catch my drift. So what do I do now? You can't get that time back with your kid. Document everything. Some courts don't look highly on a mother that takes the kid, and doesn't allow you to see him/her. Don't Assume you'll just go to court and get what you get. Try to work on a schedule at 50-50. If she balks file for custody and go through mediation....court is the last option. However, they might not look kindly on the fact that she abandoned the family home. Regarding custody, this guy's an admittedly terrible father. And isn't he also the board's resident grand wizard?
