Whoo hoo! Me and the boy geeking out!

This one looks nice and dark.

Are you sure you're not watching Tyler Perry's Logan?

Go see it in the theater. I actually never want to watch it again outside the theater because it will be a let down. It was incredible

Normally I would. But my dad doesn't go to theaters anymore. Which is why I got him one of those fire sticks with kodi on it so he can watch those new movies. Plus I'd rather watch it with him. I get more enjoyment out of it when I watch a movie both of us want to see with him. The only theater he would go watch a movie in is the Alamo drafthouse down in Texas. He thoroughly enjoyed it when I took him there because he could eat some good food and have a beer while he watched the movie. Other than that he hates going to theaters and would rather wait til he can watch it on the fire stick

Logan was dope. Hard R rating finally so lots of bad language and basically Wolvie and the girl slashing and stabbing a bunch of dudes in the face and neck. Great flick, doesn't have a villain of note so it's more just about him rather than an external struggle. A high point for the Xmen franchise as a whole.

I figured it was more of them trying to stay away from the military people who were trying to get a hold of his daughter. Didn't think there was a big, major villain in this one cause they didn't show one.

Or just see movies you want to see, when you want to see them and don't do lame stuff like boycotting Hollywood.

Of course. It's up to the individual. I don't think it's lame though, it's not like they're putting out a great product. When does spider man vs Godzilla come out?

I think it's great product? I along with many millions of others love the superhero movies, popcorn big budget and blockbusters. If you don't, don't watch them. See movies you like, don't see ones you don't. It's very vegan hipster to suggest a Hollywood boycott, not really your style.

Yea I agree. Movies like Get Out I have no interest in seeing. Logan looks to be a pretty good movie. It's not even your stereotypical superhero movie. Just an action flick about a guy trying to protect his special daughter from the government. They just happen to be mutants.

Was definitely dark. Still processing it. Which is probably a good thing. Compared to all the other bubble gum green screens. At least it gave a more less graceful out to two key actors and characters.

Until 6 weeks from now when some other idiot reimagines the storyline.

Logan was instantly one of my favorite movies I had ever seen. I thought the amount of death dealing allowed to Logan was perfect for his ending.

Just saw Get Out a second time. Really a clever, original film. You should give it a chance.

Or just watch the same rehashed characters and special effect pablum Marvel feeds us every 6 mos.

I thought Logan was just average, but maybe my expectations were too high. I read 20 years of marvel comics, and I should be the target audience.

Deadpool on the other hand

Howd you like IT?

I really liked Get Out for the first hour or so. Once they started explaining what was good by on it got sort of dumb. Still a pretty good horror movie. Not quite my favorite of last year.

Get Out was funny. First half was more horror second half was more comedy. Good stuff

I thought IT was done very well. It wasn't corny imo, which a lot of horror movies can be. I never saw the original, so I was going in with a blank slate. It wasn't necessarily scary, but it was definitely very creepy. The actor who played Pennywise was excellent

I thought it was a nice mix of light horror, comedy and social commentary.

Wasn't really expecting all the broadway-style singing and dancing from Wolverine, but Jackman made it feel organic.

Post it with a spoiler cover.

I didnt think the idea that the white folk were stealing blacks because theyre in vogue was very credible. I thought they obviously picked black people thinking their disappearance would draw less attention and they wouldnt be missed. I also assumed at first they were using them for slave labor, which sort of seemed to be the case until some are being used in a brain transplant? That didnt work for me. And it got a touch vampier at the end than I like in my horror movies. It was really good regardless though.
