Why did not I get a chance to even try and pick him up through waivers??? THis one stings hard because I have been logging in multiple times per day trying to at least put a focking claim in and it simply would not allow me to do it for some reason. I knew I could not just grab him, but could not understand why it would not at least let me put a claim in. THat is what made me CERTAIN that I would be able to do it and have a window of time. I was STUNNED he went from locked to first come first serve is all. Maybe one day I will get it, too bad it costs me so focking much every year though. mobb_deep 917 Posted October 2, 2015 Hey GoColts. I think I figured out the issue. I found this setting under "Waiver Wire Options" was set to "No". It has been that way since we started the league. Allow owners to submit requests for recently dropped (or "locked") players separately from other players (free agents), as subject to league calendar rules? I changed it to "Yes", so players that are dropped will follow a normal 2 day WW period, in which they can be bid on. Sorry about that. No one ever complained before, so I had no idea. This will just fix the loophole that dropped players could not be bid on at all for 2 days, which in the very rare case resulted in them only being available for pickup during the 1 day FA period. Make sense? ETA: That's how I understand it atleast. Hopefully I didn't just fubar something else, trying to fix this. It was difficult to prepare for the possibility of Big Ben not playing with only a month's notice or so....and even if you had been aware that he was hurt and may not play, there really isn't a single player on your roster that you could have risked dropping before the last minute unless it was an emergency...... And even if all that weren't the case, everyone messes up and ends up without a QB one time. It's the people that do it multiple times in the same month that are the real issue. That being said, I would have probably given up an early pick in next years draft for this guy when Beer dropped him. Now, I am not saying this to make Beer feel bad or feel regret, I am sure he could not care any less. The reason I have decided to tell everyone this after being very reluctant all this time is for the future. NEXT time someone thinks about dropping someone even remotely decent or a Colt, hit me up first, you may be able to grab a pick off me. My team is still HORRID even though I am kicking some ass.
