I was there a couple of weeks ago. I was disappointed that I didn't get to connect with Bunny. He is a good guy.

Did you attempt to connect with Buns?

I've missed on the last two Geek meets I could have had. NZoner was here last year and I really wanted to have a beer with him at a Saints game.

You popped my cherry Geek meet and i was looking forward to that next one. Cheap dates are ......uh hmmmmmm.....hard to find.

God, I would kill for about 15 pounds of crawfish right now.

Went to a boil last night for a good friends engagement party. They boiled 400 lbs for forty people. They were the perfect size. Perfectly spiced. Corn, potatoes, sausage, garlic cloves as big as your fist. This guy added oranges and they were really good. Something new. I ate ten lbs and probably could have eaten more if all the big wemens hadn't gotten there first.

They are going 2.50 a lbs here now. Curious as to what you are paying for them?

This has been a good year for crawfish here in southLA. Paid $2.25 a lbs boiled just an hour ago at my local seafood market. Even if I don't sit down and eat them all, I can peel them and store them in the freezer and cook them inan omelette, corn bread, or a pasta dish I love, when I want to.

Having a crawfish boil is a thing of beauty. It's choreographed better than a Broadway play. If you do one right, you don't need some fruit loop to tell you you did good. You know immediately when you see the faces of those sucking heads, pinching tails, and drinking cold beer saying things like, "This is as good as it gets. Great boil!!!"

Crawfish season is one of the reasons I'll never leave. Next week I get to go toJazz Fdst and surround myself with fellow Louisianians and horny drunken tourists whilst I watch The Red Hot Chili Peppers and eat crawfish Monica, crawfish bread, and rock out with my cack out.

I recently discovered a crawfish restaurant here in China. I knew it wouldn't be the same, but I went in anyway.

The focking heathens pick the entire crawfish up with chopsticks and eat it whole, shell and all. They all looked at me crazy for peeling them first.

I was at a casino buffet once and saw a family of chunks do this once. People were staring in disbelief.

You know what they do that? No s***. They do that because The majority of Asians are lactose intolerant. And, eating the shell Provides them much-needed calcium that they wouldn't get otherwise.

As Murican As we think crawfish are, The overwhelming majority of crawfish and shrimp That Americans eat Every year Comes from Asia.

Hey, you're there and I'm not. I'm just saying, That's how the tradition of eating The shells on shellfish came to be.

I think your reason is probably partly true. I can see in less prosperous times, calcium is why they did it, when rice was all they had. Probably why they eat chicken feet too.

Also, they tend to be that way with everything. It's annoying. You order sh!t and is is only half prepared.

Also, they have a pathological aversion to eating with their hands. Just will not do it. The BBQ restaurant here has to give out plastic gloves with ribs and pizza and stuff. They think we are barbarians to pick things up with our hands and eat it.

I did. We got together a few years ago when I was down there. Had a few drinks.

This year, I was busy with work stuff and couldn't swing happy hour with him. It was disappointing.

If I lived in the toxic cesspool of China I'd hesitate to touch food too.

So you wouldn't touch it, but you would ingest it? That's twisted.

Not really. This place is pretty focking filthy. I went through gallons of hand sanitizer before I just said Fock it and gave up.

They are weird. Certain things they are fastidious as Fock about. Like feet and shoes. Can't wear shoes in a house, or spa, etc. my roommate washes his feet fastidiously every time he enters the house. They will never touch food, even when they are cooking it really.

But then they'll piss in the street. They never, ever clean public bathrooms. I gag every time I drive by the student bathroom at my school, and I never get within 20 yards of it.

Floors are universally filthy in public buildings. Like so dirty you can skate around on the grit. My students mop the floor twice a day, but since the mops never get cleaned, they are basically just stirring the filth around.

It's a strange focking place. They think certain things we do are disgusting, we think they are animals in many respects.
