Fan Duel/Fantasy Kings.

Recommended Posts

Couple questions for those of you who have done these?

Which is better...Duel or Kings? I played Fantasy Kings last week. I put in $25 and won $34...woo hoo. Wondering who has played both and which do you think is better?

With that, I fully intend on playing again this week....

Who are the steals and/or who's gonna blow up?

I don't play, but I'll say this - this isn't much different then internet poker. If you end up with an amount of money that is significant to you, pull it out because it's only a matter of time before the Feds realize this is nothing more than online gambling.

The most gambling I ever do is playing fantasy football. I definitely wouldn't want to win $1000 and turn around and put it back in. Then I would lose for sure.

Way too many big players involved in DFS. They've already gone down the legal route and won on a federal level.

iv only used fanduel. I always play jimmy graham at TE, he represents the biggest advantage by position. Then I always take a low cost D and K since those dont really matter and are random. Then I always try to have 1 top wr either Calvin or Jordy. From there you need a bargain basement RB that will start like last weeks Asiata and high catch volume wrs that are cheap.

I only play 50/50 leagues, thats where you play vs 50 people and the top half gets double, the bottom half nothing. So if you place 24th out of 50 you win.

Yeah these sites are the equivalent of playing lotto..you can win some here and there...but you gotta bet big to win decent money. I like the 50/50 games on draft kings..i can usually hit those. I got 203rd out of 4600 on a tournament last week and only won $4.50..was only a $2 bet.

last yr or maybe 2 yrs ago, they had a free beat the expert game, all you had to do was finish above him and it was 5$ win. I won 11 in a row vs there expert at least

finished the season with a free 65$, not great but was fun. Cant find anything like that this year

their "expert" probably lost way too much

I've only used FD so far and it's fun, but can be addicting! :) It's perfect for when your fantasy teams goes, say 0-2, to start the season (like mine so far)...something to root for. Baseball is cool because it's daily.

The scoring is kind of generic, but I guess that is to appeal to the masses.

BTW - as much as the CBS commish software blows, they do have a couple guys to do write-ups for the Fan Duel contest; the sleepers, values plays and best buys for the week, and they show you the teams they are using to enter. It's some good reading for those new to the daily contests.

I've only used Fanduel, for a buck you can't beat it. Like the poster above said, it can be addicting especially if you win right off the bat. I love it for an extra team to root for every week that has some cash on the line.

I've played FD all summer betting baseball everyday and only deposited like $30...keep winning $25, then $3, then $40, then $6...pretty funny. I still have $45 in my account. FD says I've won over $500, but not sure if that is total over the last 2-years, but I've never taken any money out, just goes back into the pot, until I win the BIG ONE! lol

Just did a quick $2 bet on baseball for tonight's games, Det/Kan are on ESPN, so added some players from their teams, as well as the White Sox/Tampa game...this way I'll watch the game occasionally! :) Oh, and can win $200 if I get real lucky, not bad for a $2 bet and some entertainment.

EDIT: Forgot to add the Live Scoring is insane, up-to-second it seems.

Can't wait for NBA to start  I clean up on that shiiiiit :overhead:

I've never done FD and NBA, but my brother tried it last year and lost $50 on a free throw to end the game, he stayed up until almost midnight only to go to bed bummed! LOL

I did try a few hockey games last year, was pretty cool. I had no idea who most of the players were, but took quite a few hometown Blackhawks and won a few bucks.

Played fantasy PGA on DraftKings this season. It was pretty interesting. They just released fantasy soccer as well.

I've stayed away, because I know I would likely get hooked.

Vig is ridiculously high... If you are playing for the action/entertainment, have fun. If you are playing to win money, good luck with that.

Anyone got a promo code for either site? I hear them on sports radio all of the time but never paid attention.

"Rome"

Jim Rome advertises FD all the time, not sure if the promo code is still active though. Match play up to $200... Good Luck

I saw someone say 50-50 leagues were 50 person leagues. There are actually varying sizes. 50-50 simply means the top half of the league gets paid

If you search by 50/50 leagues the majority are 50 players max, some are 10. So he's you are correct but mostly they are 50 player events.

This. With the growing popularity of a certain site or two it is getting a little less free, but I came within a last minute lineup change of pulling $1100 out of a $5 entry a couple times last year. Football is tougher simply because the info is everywhere.

Well, took my whoppin' $34 I won last week and turned it into 13 line-ups this week. I'm cheap, did a bunch of $2 and $5 entries.

Let's see if I can get up over $100 today!
