Well, this is interesting. I got zero points with my Chargers this past week. Can I trust them against the Jets and I hear they lost two guys on defense. Plus, on the road.

The Jets ran a tighter ship in wk15, surrendering only 6 points although Petty threw 2 interceptions. So that makes me lean a little more towards starting BAL instead of LAC, who's not been scoring so well on defense lately.

 

I see some interesting choices on the wire like CHI vs CLE as mentioned by ramz04, CAR vs TB, WAS vs DEN (2nd in points surrendered) and perhaps PHI vs OAK (although OAK is only 20th in points-surrendered).

Packers are officially out of the playoffs after Atlanta's win last night. The Packers activated the third string QB and have not committed to playing Rodgers this week. Rodger's collarbone is not yet fully healed (reported to be about 80%) and they're up against the same ferocious defense that put him on the shelf. While it's not official, there are signs pointing to the Packers shutting Rodgers down.

I too have the same LAC and BAL decision this week. I thought for sure when McCown went on IR that I would start LAC if I made it to the championship game. Now I'm not so sure. They took a beating on Saturday night and lost a few players. Not to mention they have to travel across the country for this week and the Jets have played hard all season. Furthermore, Baltimore (other than the Pitt game) has shown no reason for anyone to not play them in the finals. I think I'm going to stick with the Ravens.

I have Baltimore, Chargers and the Rams, and I'm starting Baltimore without hesitation. I only consider the other two when Baltimore has a bad match up. It's like having an extra RB1 in my lineup.

But if you look at the Skins overall performance this year, they have usually been pretty decent, esp against inferior offenses. Denver has been known to give up good points to opposing defenses, and may well trot Lynch out there this weekend.

Both are at home facing an opponent that will fly across the country.

Both are facing opponents with bad offenses that are ironically coming off of good performances.

 

I'm leaning towards AZ because I don't think the Gmen will be as motivated to play the Cards as they were for the Eagles. It's also possible the Skins blank the Broncos who regress to the norm.

 

I believe I'm left with a coin flip.

I like both defenses, and I too being a Giants fan, see this as a down game. I think NY got up for their arch rival Eagles, but like you said, traveling across country for a team they couldn’t care less upon, letdown.

Something to look for if you have the Philly defense. Philadelphia can clinch HFA if the Vikings lose. Therefore they'd probably rest some starters against the Raiders on MNF. I would sit Philly defense in that case.

Yep, that news was before the Rodgers news. Raiders will probably be eliminated by MNF too. Anyone think the Eagles will go back to being a great play on MNF? Oakland traveling to Philly. Eagles still fighting for HFA. Defense was embarrassed by the Giants..

The injuries and the whipping they took this past week. I think that let the air out of the balloon. I’m not even sure the Great HAYWARD is playing, and if he is, he is probably limited. Heck, Robby might blow right by him.

All you Chargers fans like me do realize they will be without a starting DL guy and a starting MLB, yes? That is two pretty important people. And a few others are hurting but may play...Hayward being one of them.
