Rate these QBs in order ROS

Recommended Posts

I looked at four experts rate their ROS for these guys and it is not anything like mine (opposite). So I am interested in reading your thoughts.

I will go first....

1. FitzMagic - throws a lot, decent schedule, highest ceiling of the three. Has scores in the 40s and 30s.

2. Russell Wilson- not throwing as much, but still throwing two tds a game, running some, lowest ceiling of the three. Minny toughest game on schedule. Has not scored higher than 23 all season.

3. Philip Rivers- consistent guy with a pretty safe floor of 20 but not a high ceiling, although he did have one game above 23 (29). Balt and Arizona toughest two on schedule.

Agree with me or agree with the four experts?

Neither. I rate them:

Wilson - Always strong down the stretch. Consistent.

Rivers - Playing good ball this year, and is almost always top-10

Fitzmagic - Can blow up or lay an egg any given week.

(BTW, all 3 of them are very close in my ROS estimation...almost interchangeable)

Rivers

Fitz

Wilson.

I see a lot of post about Wilson posting better numbers in the second half of a ff season.

Will based on a 14 game reg ff season he scored only two more points in the second half then the first half last season.

Baldwin isn’t healthy, they don’t have a true wr1 p, and some even question of Baldwin even qualifies for that type of title.

I don’t see things getting much better if any for the Wilsons.

Agree with Weepaws.

Also, the Bucs defense is historically awful.. I'd much rather have a Fitz w a Winton tacked on late for insurance, than hope that a run first SEA team reverts back to their former ways. If they're down to Rashad Penny, they look like they're gonna try to bang out 30-40 RB carries every Sunday to shorten games.

I'd def feel the least comfortable w RW going into the playoffs.

As an owner who can't seem to dump or find any takers for Baldwin.. hoping Russell starts running and gunning.. but it seems like a Brian Shotty/run first offensive philosophy thing that's gonna hold him back this year.

I guess I value Fitz a lot higher than many others. Maybe those first three games are etched on my brain.....

If I knew Fitz was guaranteed the job ROS I would have him the highest, but 1 bad half and it could be the hook and back to crab legs.

The problem with Fitz is that you have to think Winston comes back at some point as the Bucs need to decide if they want to exercise his option for next year. I know they've said otherwise, but they've got nothing to play for now this year that they are practically 3 game back of the wildcard with 7 games to play and a ton of teams in front of them.

There's no reason not to play Winston and see if he can start making better decisions on the field because given his off field stuff, he's got to be productive if they are going to keep him around.

There is actually a big reason not to play Winston, his contract is guaranteed next year for injury only, in other words if he gets hurt Tampa is on the hook for a boatload of money

There is a reason not to play Winston. It is muy understanding his contract for next year is only guaranteed for 18 million if he is injured. If TB has already made the decision to move on you can't risk putting him on the field.

If this is true, then. You have to make sure he is healthy.

Wilson is the guy I drafted and cut to pick up Matt Ryan. I have no regrets, but I wouldn’t mind Wilson as my back up. I know Seattle is now wanting to,run the ball but Wilson can still throw.
