Opinions on questionable players?

Recommended Posts

Okay. With injuries, trades, position battles, etc. my team has a few question marks and I was just looking for some input/suggestions/ideas on what to do.

My team:

QB-Brady

Bledsoe

RB-LJ

Portis

Mcgahee

Fred Taylor

WR-Chambers

Wayne

Branch

Evans

Lelie

TE-Shockey

K-Kaeding

DEF- Tampa

Washington

Standard scoring- 4 pts passing TD. 6pts rushing/recieving TD. 1 pt per 25 passing yards and 1 pt per 10 rushing/recieving.

With Portis' injury, Lelie being traded, Branch's holdout, Taylors injury history, etc I have alot of question marks it seems. Any input on which ones are worth worrying about? Players I should look to move and their suggested value? Any I should drop to waivers? Basically just looking for any help to sort this mess of uncertainty out.

Leave a like and I'll be glad to get back ASAP. Thanks in advance.

Not too many questions in my opinion aside from Branch & Fred Taylor

QB-Brady- Solid #1

Bledsoe - Great #2 with a bit of injury ?, but ok as a backup

RB-LJ - will overcome line ?'s

Portis - will be healthy soon

Mcgahee - will overcome poor o-line

Fred Taylor - named starter already

WR-Chambers - solid

Wayne - solid

Branch - I think he will show up

Evans - could have a great year

Lelie - will pick up the offense quick and jump right into #2

TE-Shockey - good

K-Kaeding

DEF- Tampa

Washington

No worries, you will be just fine  ! Thanks for the help also!

Thanks for the input. Anyone else? I'm 10th on the waiver wire so I have to try and sneak my moves in on the others if im going to make them, so any help would be greatly appreciated lol.

I don't think you can trade Portis at this point. Odds are that he'll be fine. And, nobody will offer you what he's worth, since there is a question mark.

I think Branch will show up. I also think Lelie will be ok in Atlanta. He should be the top WR there, whereas in Denver he'd have been option #3.

I think your team looks good if it's a 10 team league or more.

Maybe you could trade offer Chambers and Tayor or McGahee to try to get a stud WR?

That's about the only thing I think you might be able to improve.

Well I've offered a trade of McGahee and Chambers for Parker and Holt to try and upgrade at WR. Holt seems to be the most consistent WR in the league and I think Parker should put up similar #'s to McGahee with his line being MUCH better than Buffalo's. I don't think the trade will go through though, so I'm looking to drop/add to fix some of the question marks. Thanks for the help though.

I also think your team looks fine. I actually like all your running backs. I would wait until Fred tayloe gets hot and try to move him then. YOu might be able to get that upgrade at WR without having to give up too much.

QB-Brady - He will be just fine

Bledsoe - Might be gone by the 5th week - Try Farve or Warner or Green if they are still on waivers. Big upside as backups.

RB-LJ - Fine

Portis - won't be the same even if he comes back - pick up TJ duckett if you can spare a slot

Mcgahee - Another injury prone guy

Fred Taylor - Mr Brittle

WR-Chambers - Fine

Wayne - Fine

Branch - Holdout, but will be OK

Evans - Good pick here

Lelie - nice catch being traded

TE-Shockey - Solid

K-Kaeding

DEF- Tampa

Washington

I would look to trade 2 of your RB's like Taylor and Portis for 1 good solid top 10 RB. ( May have to throw in a WR to make the trade work) Then pick up TJ Duckett and one of the RB's that back up those players that you traded - chances are they will start sometime during the season.

Thanks for the help. There's no help at all on the waiver wire, the top QBs left out there are Charlie Frye and Brian Griese. Duckett isn't on waivers either or I'd have snagged him the minute I got Lelie after hearing about the trade. I'd like to keep Portis in case he's fine and produces huge #'s this year, any ideas on what a McGahee and Taylor trade would bring in return?

I don't think you should make a move...yet. If all of your rbs stay healty, you will be able to add a qb or wr via trade later in the season.

well, branch wont hold out forever I dont think

Fred Taylor does get hurt a lot....

he usually will blow the doors off for a couple of games before hurting himself.

so if you want to trade him, dont do it now. Wait for him to have a couple of big games... then shop him.

there is always someone willing to take the chance when they see he has had back to back 150 yard games.

That's when you will get the best value for him (unless you have him at the trade deadline. people will always pay for him at that time if hes healthy)
