So my 10 team, 14-man roster league is looking into potentially becoming an auction league, which I am all for. The issue is that we are a keeper league (based on the round taken), and those 'owners' who have late studs don't want to have to start over. I was trying to come up with a way to convert the round taken into a $ value but am having some difficulty. My first stab at it was taking each draft spot and finding out it's value in the whole draft, whereby the #1 spot was 100%, pick #70 was 50% and the final pick, #140, was 0.71%, then I averaged out each round, determining each rounds value compared to the whole. That left me with a final round value of $1, but the first round was only $27, which seems too low (averaging out the ESPN Draft Kit auction values from our league had the first round closer to $40). I'm far from a math wiz, so I was wondering if anyone here had any ideas? I figure there are more keeper draft leagues out there that may want to become auction leagues but don't know how to do it without starting over, so maybe this can even become article-worthy. Any help would be greatly appreciated! -Mike

Thanks Bunky & badmonkey, I had originally planned on Romo, figured with that DAL roster he'd have more weapons and be able to at least guarantee me a weekly QB play, but then Berry posted this wacky article saying Garcon scores more points than Wayne and I started second guessing my choice. I'll probably still go with Romo as the WR concerns are just gnawing away at me. Thanks again everybody.

Thanks for the help (even though I'm guessing by the name gocolts you might be a little biased). I'm concerned with all the WRs in Indy, but I guess as long as he's starting, the 12th round is a big bargain.

Thanks Mike. I believe it's +1 for 5 receptions, then another +2 when they hit 10. Those stats were great, I didn't realize how volatile 10+ was for everyone not named Welker. So even just using the +1 for 5 catches, is it worth making a custom stat like: If Receptions > 80 (16 games * 5 catches) + 16 points (or maybe lower to adjust for probability) At the end of the day, I realize it's only 16 points, which isn't a huge swing, but it is something I'd at least like to try to account for. Good morning boys and girls, just a quick question about a work league I just joined. I need help adding the odd stat below: Plus a 1 point bonus @ 5+ Recpt Plus a 2 point bonus @ 10+ Recpt I'm guessing the easiest way to do it would be some sort of of IF statement that says "if ReAvg is greater than 10, 2 x Rec" or something like that. I'm in a similar situation frost (excpet my pick ups don't cost me anything) and I'm just sticking with Heap for now. ESPN chat just said he should be a good play. But if I hear anything weird between now and then, I'm probably just going to grab Mili and hope that one turns into a shoot out.

Went with the strategy of drafting a QB late and it bit me bad (so far...yeah, I know it's only week 1). I have Plummer and Brad Johnson. Should I ride it out with these two for a little, or pick up McNair/Leftwich/Pennington/Smith/Carr off the wire? Thanks

First year using Sportsline and I just want to make sure my rules are set correctly. What I'm looking to happen is for people to make their waiver decisions Monday/Tuesday, then waiver run Tuesday night. Player not picked up via waiver are all free agents. Now I'm the commish and currently on the League Rules page. I have the Order, Policy and Waiver Period all set up, my only question is what days do I need to check? I currently have them all checked. Does checking Tuesday mean waiver are going to run tonight? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

12 Teams, 1 Keeper, QB/2 RB/2 WR/TE, PPR: QB - Plummer, B Johnson RB - Caddy (my keeper), Edge, Addai, Barlow, Morency WR - Wayne, Kennison, Stallworth, Mike Clayton TE - Heap K - Feely D - Broncos, Jags Feel like my WR's are real shaky, and the QB spot is "blah." What do you guys think? Do I need a major overhaul or should I be happy come Week 1?

Thanks BJL. Leaning toward McGahee since I expect a RB run after my pick, and I'm not looking to start Gado or Bell as my RB2. Anyone else?
