AHill84006 0 Posted August 20, 2006 I need some advice. I messed up during my draft, and only drafted 4 RBs. I drafted way too many Wrs. One of my WRs is TO. Would it be a good offer to offer TO for Clinton Portis?? Here is my RBs and WRs : RBs- Rudi Johnson, Warrick Dunn, Sam Gado, Chris Perry WRs- TO, Roy Williams, TJ Housmazadeh, Lee Evans, Samie Parker, Joe Horn His RBs & WRs- RBs- Portis, Julius Jones, Brian Westbrook, Kevan Barlow, Travis Henry, Preist Holmes WRs- Drew Bennett, Darrell Jackson, Nate Burleson, and Brandon Lloyd On paper, it looks to me like a good trae for both sides. My concern is Portis' shoulder. Will be OK for the whole regular season? I know when TO plays, he is a MONSTER, but I need RBs...... any help would be appreciated!!!! BeeefyTaco 0 Posted August 20, 2006 It's a tossup really... I'd do it because of your RB situation, you only have 2 RBs, the others are backups awiting for someoen to go down. I'd pull the trigger on it. Portis will be alright by the start of the season. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=222741
STEELERMAN 0 Posted August 20, 2006 I'd make the offer....Portis is more valuable than TO despite the shoulder http://www.fftdayforums.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=222750
daSwami 0 Posted August 20, 2006 I'd make the offer... Portis>Owens.
TomServo 0 Posted August 20, 2006 Portis has more value in just about any league, and to your roster. TO is injured, problematic, and you don't need him as much as you need another great back. PanicAttack 13 Posted August 20, 2006 Pull the trigger!! You have 0 bye week RB your #3and 4 are back ups waiting. The rest of your WR are not as stronga s TO but they are ALL good. Portis WILL improve you liine up. Good luck mine? http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=222656
sportscleve14 0 Posted August 20, 2006 TO straight up for Portis, DO IT!!!!!!!
gobrownies6 0 Posted August 20, 2006 Is this offer on the table, or just something you might send to him? If it is on the table, take it...other wise it is a moot point. I would have to be drunk and messing around with a girl at the same time to be distracted enough to accept that offer if I were in his shoes.
nnarechania 0 Posted August 20, 2006 If its on the table, execute. If its not, its highly unlikely that someone would take this. Portis is one of the most consistant producers over the last 2-3 years.
Raider 84 29 Posted August 20, 2006 I'd take Portis anyday over TO, but now it depends on the health of Portis.
kcBlitzkrieg 17 Posted August 20, 2006 With you RB situation Id make the trade, having Portis will give you 2 monster RBs and you have better depth at WR to make adjustments week to week. Even if he misses a game or two you have to consider what numbers he'll likely put up for the entire year. I have Portis now and my only concern is if the shoulder turns into an ongoing problem for the year. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=222821
