Flint5 4 Posted January 16, 2015 I wouldn't give a 1st round pick for a RB who will turn 30 before the start of the 2015 season not to mention the reasons for his suspension.
Cruzer 1,992 Posted January 16, 2015 AP is on the books for $47m over the next 3 years - why in the world would anyone want to trade for that? Wait till Minny cuts him and then work out a deal.

Cruzer 1,992 Posted January 16, 2015 there's no way in hell that the vikes pay out the rest of that contract Agreed - the Vikes don't have the cap space to play chicken with him. He will be cut in March.

sirensong 111 Posted January 16, 2015 agree with everything that has been posted. the vikes can't get around cutting him, because keeping him would crush their cap for years. therefore he doesn't have any trade value, and for all his faults, jerry is too good a businessman to give up that much leverage. the real question is this: $7M for AP, or $9M for murray? Cruzer 1,992 Posted January 16, 2015 the real question is this: $7M for AP, or $9M for murray? If Dallas can work out a long term deal with Dez, franchising Murray isn't out of the question. That figure would end up being about $9m. For $7, I'd rather have AP.... I am anxious to see what the market is for both AP and Murray. I still believe both are going to be surprised to see it isn't what they are banking on it being.

GreenTD 56 Posted January 16, 2015 I wouldn't give a 1st round pick for a RB who will turn 30 before the start of the 2015 season not to mention the reasons for his suspension. Pretty sure the OP was referring to AP being a 1st round fantasy selection instead of the Cowboys trading a 1st rounder for him.
tanatastic 2,061 Posted January 16, 2015 AP is a first round pick nomatter where he goes as long as hes playing, period.

sirensong 111 Posted January 17, 2015 If Dallas can work out a long term deal with Dez, franchising Murray isn't out of the question. That figure would end up being about $9m. preliminary estimate of RB franchise tag is $10.93M http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000412284/article/arizona-cardinals-working-through-injuries-with-aplomb edit: this is pending AP's status, but since he will likely still be under contract, i believe his salary will count in the tag figure. Marshall 98 Posted January 18, 2015 I haven't been able to formulate a reply to this thread, as I keep getting sidetracked by the title: AP = No - brainer ...and I find myself nodding in agreement, and thinking that indeed, he has no brain.

MDC 5,877 Posted January 18, 2015 Yes he's a first rounder but not without risk - RBs with a lot of mileage, over 30 and changing teams / schemes after essentially a year away from the game. AP is superhuman but he's got history working against him here. Terrell Davis #s though? Uh, no.

Shame So the other bajillion religions who all say their God is the one true God are just dumb and wrong? What makes you and yours correct and theirs not? They are just as adamant and have just as many beliefs. See how this is a bit fishy?
