(Or not one for argument sake). 14 year old neighborhood kid tells his parents he is one and mother said he is much to young to know such a thing and the dad is in denial. Not da river one either. But I don't think a kid should make such a life-defining statement at that age. My daughter has a (male platonic) friend who has moved in and out of being ghey since that age, but his home life is a focking mess and it is a clear cry for attention.
