$0.02 1 Posted September 21, 2014 Have you watched this 3rd down play calling all day? 3rd and 3. Let's throw a lateral WR screen for 1 yard. 3rd and 9. Let's throw a TE screen for no gain. 3rd and 7. Let's throw a 4 yard out to the sidelines. So on and so forth. And these are in, or near Red Zone plays much of the time. He's getting killed. Kelly isn't taking enough shots down the field. And the 3rd down offense is heavily reliant on a Receiver catching and running for the 1st. It's too bad because he could be having a bigger season thus far.

dreen626 17 Posted September 21, 2014 Would be nice if he could get the ball to ERTZ
RabidSeaCows 99 Posted September 21, 2014 Doesn't chip kelly call the play? Everyone looks to the sidelines and he signals Everyone the play. That's how I understood it worked at Oregon.

GreenTD 56 Posted September 21, 2014 Can't believe he got up after that cheap shot that Baker put on him.
Frozenbeernuts 1,652 Posted September 21, 2014 Can't believe he got up after that cheap shot that Baker put on him. I thought the announcers made it out to be worse than it was.
killersquids 3 Posted September 21, 2014 It was a cheap shot, but by the rules it should not have been a penalty. I won't say it was a bad call, but by the rules, it was a legal block.
Filthy Fernadez 2,696 Posted September 22, 2014 He may be my new starter in my work league with Stafford holding the clipboard.
Candygram4Mongo 8 Posted September 22, 2014 He and Parkey have been the only guys on my team to show up each week so far. Thank you, Nick. For giving your all.
ElectricBoogaloo 1 Posted September 22, 2014 I'm stoked about him. He's playing some mediocre ball at times and still putting up numbers. If he starts to connect on some of those overthrows he could be top 3 for QB scoring. Plus his schedule is nice. Lots of shootouts on the horizon.
NEWPOSTERGUY! 266 Posted September 22, 2014 Can't believe he got up after that cheap shot that Baker put on him. kid's a baller ... and damn straight a brawl ensued - those IGGLES were thisclose to having the Sanchize run their season into the fockin' sh!tter ps- keep up the Mathews love, t'anks
Frozenbeernuts 1,652 Posted September 22, 2014 Even with foles performance i am probably going to lose in 3/4 of the leagues i started him.
LoOnAtIk 75 Posted September 22, 2014 It was a cheap shot, but by the rules it should not have been a penalty. I won't say it was a bad call, but by the rules, it was a legal block. The player with the ball was already on the ground and Foles was no where near him so it was a late hit in my opinion and very very cheap. Bravo Jason Peters for protecting his QB. I love seeing that.

No it wasn't. Here is a recap of the hit according to the rules: http://finance.yahoo.com/news/why-hit-nick-foles-absolutely-140808380.html
Dueces Will Be Wild 15 Posted September 22, 2014 It was a cheap shot, but by the rules it should not have been a penalty. I won't say it was a bad call, but by the rules, it was a legal block. QB's, like kickers, are always considered defenseless players and targeting them like that certainly is a penalty. Not that I agree with the rule but it is one. Here is a recap of the hit according to the rules: http://finance.yahoo.com/news/why-hit-nick-foles-absolutely-140808380.html I stand corrected. it was a cheap shot and I didn't have a problem with the flag and ejection at the time (skins fan here), even though I thought it was technically legal. I'm worried how long Baker will be suspended. With D. Hall probably out for the year, Baker suspension imminent, and Hatcher now questionable, the G-men should put up some nice numbers on Thursday.
