per se

I use that in sentences often and my heart skips a beat in fear others might ask me what it means.

had the hardest time trying to figure out how to pronounce eponymous

When I would see hors d'oeuvres on a package in the store I would wonder what the hell is a whores-dah-ovris?

😂

That's a mighty long road to go down just to say snacks.

zaftig = sexy looking fat chick.

No, you're thinking of rubenesque. I'm pretty sure zaftig was the Nazi Air Force.

Man, if the zaftig just would have showed up on D-Day, it would have been a whole nother story.

I saw a lady on T.V. She was born without arms. Literally, she was born with her hands attached to her shoulders... and that was sad, but then they said, Lola does not know the meaning of the word cant. And that to me was kinda worse... in a way... ya know? Not only does she not have arms, but she doesnt understand simple contractions. Its very simple, Lola, you just take two words, you put them together, then you take out the middle letter, you put a comma in there and you raise it up!

I never know when to use regardless or irregardless but I do know they mean the same exact thing

As far as I know, irregardless is not a word, unless we've accepted it in society.

This is mostly why I kill small animals. Anymore, any word that is used even if it's not a word, even if it's used in the wrong way, becomes a word because Merriam-Webster wants to have something to put on their list of top 10 new words of the year to be relevant for five f****** minutes every 365 days.

That's the bitter old crank in me talking.

The intellectual in me talking says Hey f*** stick, take a look at the way many words were spelled and used even a hundred years ago and compare them to today.

That's the only thing that keeps me from killing people who say ax instead of ask.

Still, I reserve the right to throat punch anybody who uses the word woke.

One that drives me absolutely Bonkers is notwithstanding.

You pretty much only hear that from lawyers. And it's completely worthless. Basically it goes something like this.

Notwithstanding the patient is dead what is the patient's present condition?

Notwithstanding in the requirement that only cash can be used at this facility, two forms of ID must be used when presenting a check for payment.

That's a stroke inducing word If Ever I heard one.

https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/irregardless

Been a word a long ass time like 200 yrs. The definition is regardless

It isn't a word and you sound like an idiot if you use it.

Regardless means without regard to.

Irregardless would then be without without regard to which is either nonsensical or means the exact opposite of regardless. Not good either way

Irregardless of how you feel about users of that word I will continue to use it when I want to troll. Notwithstanding the fact that I am probably an idiot anyways.
