MENDENHALL

(TheHuddle) Pittsburgh Steelers general manager Kevin Colbert said there is a chance RB Rashard Mendenhall will start next season on the Physically Unable to Perform list. Analysis: Colbert also said something to the effect of not counting on much of anything from Mendenhall next season as ACL injuries generally take a full year to heal. That could mean the Steelers will be in the market for a running back this offseason, unless they feel in Isaac Redman and Jonathan Dwyer they have enough to get by.

I've been wondering about this situation. Is Isaac Redman worthy of 15+ touches a game. I don't know much about Dwyer, what is the backfield going to look like to start 2012? What about a Hillis or Tolbert?

Randy Moss blurbs

(Rotoworld) Contacted by NFL Network's Heath Evans on Monday evening, free agent Randy Moss claimed he can still run a forty time in the 4.3s.

then you have this quote as well...

(KFFL) Retired WR Randy Moss, who announced Monday, Feb. 13, he wants to return to the NFL, said he is looking to make an impact in 2012. "I'm coming to tear somebody's heads off, man," Moss said. Moss added he is fully committed to playing and he still has the ability to play in the league.

Hmmm...if he actually lands on a team...if he actually has decent reports from camps...maybe a flier on the guy deep in a redraft league :dunno:

Bye Bye Plaxico

(Rotoworld) ESPN New York reports the Jets are "done" with free agent Plaxico Burress. Analysis: The feeling is apparently mutual, as Burress reportedly told friends he's not interested in returning to Gang Green. A "source close" to Burress revealed in January that Plax had "serious questions" about quarterback Mark Sanchez. NBC Philadelphia recently reported Burress "badly" wants to sign with the Eagles

I think it's time for the Jets to get a new QB :dunno:

NFL.com reporting on potential cap casualties.. Lee Evans is very likely a goner in Baltimore since he basically did nothing there except for the biggest drop in Ravens history.

He could be a cheap pickup, possibly for the Giants in a 2 year deal. He's got speed and some talent and would do fine as a WR3 after Manningham goes in Free Agency. Would give him some time to rehab his confidence and contribute on a talented team.

As for pass-catchers, the Ravens are very unlikely to pick up Lee Evans' $1 million roster bonus. He gave them nothing after the trade with Buffalo and he couldn't finish a catch in the AFC Championship Game that would have sent Baltimore to the Super Bowl.

Dwayne Bowe a Patriot? Hmmm

(KFFL) The New England Patriots could show interest in Kansas City Chiefs impending free-agent WR Dwayne Bowe if he becomes available this offseason.

Imagine 4 WR/TE routes

Welker

Bowe

Hernandez

Grownkowski

with a woodhead or edelman coming out of the backfield.

NICE!

RGIII a Brown and here is why. Cleveland has 2 first round picks...

(Rotoworld) The Cleveland Plain Dealer's Mary Cay Cabot considers it "pretty likely" that the Browns will attempt to trade up to No. 2 to select Baylor's Robert Griffin III.

Analysis: "If the Browns determine at the Combine next week and maybe through one or two more visits that RGIII is their man, I don't think they would hesitate to give up their No. 4 and their No. 22 to pull off this deal," said Cabot. "... It's almost a perfect match. I think at this point it's very likely that could happen." Cabot's high level of confidence is a bit surprising after speculation that the Browns don't consider RGIII an ideal fit for the offense. We're convinced the Heisman winner will go No. 2 overall, however.

makes sense to me :dunno:

for the love of gawd, could they bring in a WR next? :wall:

Many of the approximately 400 images described in the state social services included sexual depictions of popular cartoons, including child-focused characters such as Rugrats, Dennis the Menace and SpongeBob SquarePants. Another 15 images showed 3-D depictions of sex involving parents and their children.

With free agency still on the horizon, this could all be a mute point. If Miami and Washington find a qb the bidding for RG3 becomes a lot more scarce. My dream scenario is that RG3 falls to the Browns at 4 and they can pair him up with Kendall Wright at 22 (though his stock has been sky rocketing). If you could have a speed guy in Wright, and a tough possesion receiver in Greg Little with RG3 throwing them the ball, they Browns might actually have a watchable offense.

Michel Bush a Steeler? He could be a nice fit. I prefer him over big baby Hillis. Just speculating.
