5-Points 2,726 Posted May 16, 2018 going to go a little off the cuff here, and its only cause my Grandpa used to replay this over and over when I was a kid I am not sure where to put him my first thought is as Actor/Director, but he was so much more, and I could use him as Radio Personality, cause War of the Worlds was monumental 12.07 Orson Welles - Actor/Director I had him in Radio Personality for that very reason. Nice one.

I read a book once about the Mexican American war. Never realized what a difficult campaign that was, from a logistical and engineering standpoint if not from a fighting one. Lee was brilliant in that campaign, and is the main reason the south hung as long as it did in the civil war.

Lee was brilliant in that campaign, and is the main reason the south hung as long as it did in the civil war. I want dat ass You're going to have to give up being the King to be with her. I'll give up the crown but I wont give up dat ass By the end of 1934, Edward was irretrievably besotted with Wallis, finding her domineering manner and abrasive irreverence toward his position appealing; in the words of his official biographer, he became "slavishly dependent" on her.[17] According to Wallis, it was during a cruise on Lord Moyne's private yacht Rosaura in August 1934 that she fell in love with Edward.[45] At an evening party in Buckingham Palace, he introduced her to his mother—his father was outraged,[46] primarily on account of her marital history, as divorced people were generally excluded from court.[47] Edward showered Wallis with money and jewels,[48] and in February 1935, and again later in the year, he holidayed with her in Europe.[49] His courtiers became increasingly alarmed as the affair began to interfere with his official duties.[50] --------- 13.1 Bob Dylan - Songwriter

ZeroTolerance 582 Posted May 17, 2018 13.6 - George Marshall - General After the war, Marshall became an aide-de-camp to John J. Pershing, who was then the Army's Chief of Staff. Marshall later served on the Army staff, commanded the 15th Infantry Regiment in China, and was an instructor at the Army War College. In 1927, he became assistant commandant of the Army's Infantry School, where he modernized command and staff processes, which proved to be of major benefit during World War II. In 1932 and 1933 he commanded the 8th Infantry Regiment and Fort Screven, Georgia. Marshall commanded 5th Brigade, 3rd Infantry Division and Vancouver Barracks from 1936 to 1938, and received promotion to brigadier general. During this command, Marshall was also responsible for 35 Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) camps in Oregon and southern Washington. In July 1938, Marshall was assigned to the War Plans Division on the War Department staff, and later became the Army's Deputy Chief of Staff. When Chief of Staff Malin Craig retired in 1939, Marshall became acting Chief of Staff, and then Chief of Staff, a position he held until the war's end in 1945. As Chief of Staff, Marshall organized the largest military expansion in U.S. history, and received promotion to five-star rank as General of the Army. Marshall coordinated Allied operations in Europe and the Pacific until the end of the war. In addition to accolades from Churchill and other Allied leaders, Time magazine named Marshall its Man of the Year for 1943. Marshall retired from active service in 1945, but remained on active duty, as required for holders of five-star rank. He could just as easily qualify as a wild card (as Secretary of State he spearheaded the rebuilding of Europe under the Marshall Plan).

vuduchile 1,941 Posted May 17, 2018 14.2 Branch Rickey - Reformer Branch did a lot for Baseball in general so he could easily be in that category. But actively seeking out a black ballplayer and signing him to his team in the all white league did as much to help desegregate the nation as anything else in history. Jackie was great. He had to take the abuse, keep quiet and play his ass off. But this was Branchs move from the beginning. He obviously chose he right guy. Later, he drafted Roberto Clemente, the first Hispanic superstar and introduced batting helmets to the league.
