  1. They counted down the list of the top 20 sports stories in the last 20 years in New York. I remembered that I bet the Yankees vs. Montrael on July 18th, 1999. That is the day that David Cone pitched a perfect game (I had the Yankees -170), risked $850 to win $500! I think the final was 5-0. I normally don't bet that much but I had opened up an overseas account and won some money on the All-star game (took the under and it was 4-1) and some other baseball games. Anyone ever bet on a record setting/memorable game (i.e baseball milestone, recordsetting nfl/college football game, etc)?

Storing gas in your unused below ground oil tank

I should have done this. While there is some residual heating oil left in the tank, you can easily fill it with gas which will be less dense abd float on the top. I am doing it next January!

Third Eye Blind, they are awesome live!
  4. I am just doing a sampling and I would like this information. Please do it. I wish that it was mandatory for people to do this for their work emails. Let's go!

    American Idol

It is impossible to tell who was in the bottom 3 or who had the least amount of votes. Ryan said the contestants were in "no particular order" right before he told Chris to sit down.
  6. Why does stern give a sh!t? 1) He is on satellite. He doesn't care anymore about the fight on radio for freedom of expression and banding together that is why he moved to satellite in the first place. 2) He hates Imus and likes to see him squirm. 3) He is retiring when his 5 year contract is up. Count on it. He alreadys said he doesn't want to do this into his 60s. He will still make a ton of money as he has the rights to his older shows and he will most likely strike a deal to have them played.
  7. Because he was a d!ck to him when Stern first joined NBC. Then Imus tried to get on Stern's good side when Stern's show was succesful and he became #1 while they were working together. Then when Stern was fired from NBC, Imus supposedly stole his talk radio format.
  8. Imus was messed up back then early-mid 80s with drugs and alcohol. What do you think?
  9. Gay Focker

    Imus fired.

no, it started on WFAN radio (hhis flagship station) at 12 pm and would have ended with his show tomoorow at 11. He may have done some promoting for it, but it didn't actually start when he was on.

    Imus fired.

Did you know that they fired him the day before he was supposed to do his radiothon for the CJ foundation for SIDS and the Imus ranch? Very distasteful, couldn't they wait a day?

The US is now conditioned to pay extremely high gas prices in the spring and summer. Now with any hint of Irananina trouble, gas likely to skyrocket. If the hurricane season is also especially bad, it can go up even further. I wish that I could have done this logistically.

    Bad News for Giant fans

Aren't you supposed to look at numbers when judging a QB? The biggest number is wins, and he is 19-15 (including 2 playoff losses) in his first full two years as a starter which includes a division title and a wild card berth. He played the toughest schedule in the league last year with some major team injuries. Yes he does throw inaccurate at times, but who doesn't? Even the great ones throw inaccurately a couple times a game. He obviously does it more often, but he is a young QB. Lets talk about accuracy. Did you ever think that most of those jump balls to Plax are designed? You think Eli cares about how people view this? When he has 1-1 coverage on Plax, it is designed for Eli to "throw it up for grabs" to the 6'6" Plax. Eli just cares about winning, he doesn't care about stats. Eli at times is inaccurate, I'll agree with you, but he is not as bad as you think. He will improve his accuracy issues and he did make improvement in this from 2005, just look at his completion percentage increase (52.8 in 2005 to 57.7 in 2006). I expect his completion percentage in 2007 to be >60 %. He has been shaky at times, but he is a young QB, it takes 3-5 full years as a starter to really start to play at your potential consistently (ie, Drew Brees). He will only get better. Look at some of his great games. The great comeback vs. Denver in 2005 when he only had like 10 games under his belt. The Seattle game where he led a comeback, drove them in position for the game winning field goal three times only to have Feely miss each one. If they beat Seattle in 2005, they would have had homefield throught the playoffs that year. The Philly comebacks in 2006. The great one in the beginning of the year and the playoff loss where he drove them for 10 points in the 4th quarter. I know you can site alot of bad games in there too but this is the trademark of a young QB. Eventually he will become more consistent as he gets more experience.

I don't know what you want the kid to do. He went 11-5 in his first full year as a starter and led them to a division title. In the process he threw 24 TD passes and set Giant scoring records for an offense with the second most points scored in their history. Then in 2006, even after his most reliable WR (aruably - Toomer) went down, he still led them to a wild card berth and threw 24 TD passes again, all against the toughest schedule in the league and some major team injuries. I'll admit, he's had some shaky spots but he is a young QB. You guys are sounding like he is Joey Harrington and went 3-13. Give him a break!

Anybody do a spoof on to catch a predator yet?

Other NBC employees like Tom Brokaw or Stone Phillips would be funnier
