Would you all allow a trade where Team A trades to Team B b/c Team A wants to make Team B better so that Team B can take down Team C? Team B doesn't know of this motive and the trade is for fair-market value (when looking at previous trades in the league). The league doesn't vote on trades and the Commish rarely vetoes (might not even have that power per the league's rules).

On the one hand, Team B isn't aware, so it's tough to say it is collusion, and the trade is still for what the league has determined to be fair-market value, so while the deal may make B better in the short-run, it will give him some pain later on down the road. Plus, just because Team A says something, doesn't mean that it is necessarily true. It is hard to prove ill-motives.

But on the other hand, if Team A does say that to somebody and the Commish catches wind of the remarks, it can still come off as shady and a veto-worthy trade. It might make the Commish think he needs to step in to protect the integrity of the league.

The trade looks like this

Team A Receives: Mike Williams, 2019 First Round Pick (From Team 'B'), 2019 First Round Pick (From Team D), & Rashard Higgins

Team B Receives: Michael Thomas

Haven't you been thrown out of all your leagues yet for being whiny, contentious, and overall unpleasant to play FF with?

Are you actually in any leagues and you just make this nonsense up because you need attention?

I actually like Higgins tbh, but yeah, he's not gonna be something amazing or anything, even though he had a TD today and is a guy Baker seems to like.

What if the deal was this though?

Team A Receives: Godwin, 2019 First Round Pick, 2019 Second Round Pick

Team B Receives: DeAndre Hopkins

Note: This is a deal that was actually processes as well, even though it raised many eyebrows across the league.

The trade should be vetoed and the league immediately disbanded.

Seriously, unless this is a dynasty league, why are you allowed to trade draft picks?

It is a dynasty league.

Although I have played in some redraft/keeper leagues where you can trade next year's draft pick to acquire a player that will help you make a run this year. But I've never seen a trade like that go down.

French Onion Soup

Ingredients
1/2 cup unsalted butter
4 onions, sliced
2 garlic cloves, chopped
2 bay leaves
2 fresh thyme sprigs
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
1 cup red wine, about 1/2 bottle
3 heaping tablespoons all-purpose flour
2 quarts beef broth
1 baguette, sliced
1/2 pound grated Gruyere

Melt the stick of butter in a large pot over medium heat. Add the onions, garlic, bay leaves, thyme, and salt and pepper and cook until the onions are very soft and caramelized, about 25 minutes. Add the wine, bring to a boil, reduce the heat and simmer until the wine has evaporated and the onions are dry, about 5 minutes.

Discard the bay leaves and thyme sprigs. Dust the onions with the flour and give them a stir. Turn the heat down to medium low so the flour doesn't burn, and cook for 10 minutes to cook out the raw flour taste. Now add the beef broth, bring the soup back to a simmer, and cook for 10 minutes. Season, to taste, with salt and pepper.

When you're ready to eat, preheat the broiler. Arrange the baguette slices on a baking sheet in a single layer. Sprinkle the slices with the Gruyere and broil until bubbly and golden brown, 3 to 5 minutes.

Ladle the soup in bowls and float several of the Gruyere croutons on top.

Alternative method: Ladle the soup into bowls, top each with 2 slices of bread and top with cheese. Put the bowls into the oven to toast the bread and melt the cheese.

If you are allowed to veto a trade you should veto unless its a trade that somehow makes both teams worse.

it's actually a good way to solve this.  if you survive.  veto.  if not, then the waiting period will eventually expire and the trade will process automatically

Team "A" should throw in a roast beef sandwich - large with horseradish mayo.

I had $6 in my pocket and a ticket for a cross country bus from Washington State. So, I bought two 6-packs of Olympia Beer and got on the bus. If some guy hadn't given me a Snickers Bar in Chicago... I wouldn't have made it.
