    Super Bowl D choice...

Seattle definitely is without one corner and probably two. That is HUGE. The only bright spot here is that this was an ugly, low-scoring game last time, and probably will be again. However, it's the more dynamic Colin Kaepernick in for the 49ers now, so that could still change, too. I know Peterson is going to do all he can to crush it, but the Texans aren't the Rams or a banged up Packers defense. When they put their mind to it, they're a tough group. I'll bet Peterson still gets 100+ and a touchdown, but look at Minnesota's total production in his run of awesome games: 36 21 14 10 their ineptitude in the passing game makes it easy to box up on AD. he will break one or two, but mostly the Texans should contain him. and I definitely don't think a team that one dimensional can hang 30+ on a Texans team like they somehow did on the Rams. with Seattle's corners both likely out, I'd lean toward Houston.

SRice, Gordon, Maclin & Gibson - Pick 2

I hear ya on Rice, but I won't use him against 49ers. Russell Wilson really wasn't good against them last time. I also won't use Gordon because he'll probably be draped by Champ. He also was a letdown last week, too. I'd take Maclin and Amendola (leave Gibson to rot). Their matchups are sublime.

    Comparing 3 QB's

I don't love Flacco for fantasy football. He absolutely has the potential to finally take that next step, but the guy has yet to top 3,700 passing yards or 25 scores. He's just hovering around that "OK" level, and it's hard to trust too much into him. Factor in that Baltimore runs a ton and plays a controlled scheme while relying on their defense at times, and I can't do it. There are way too many options at quarterback this year that I'd prefer over Flacco's "potential".
  4. Not comfortable, no. Charles is coming off an acl tear and now has Hillis coming in and stealing goal-line work at the very least. You just don't know if he'll be as explosive or how much Hillis will cut into his touches. Murray could be a beast and is a much less risk. His ankle injury last year was a fluke, and it's his backup Felix Jones who has the injury bug in Dallas. Murray is the starter and he'll get 20 or so touches a game, easy. If Dallas is smart, anyways. I would love Murray as my RB2, but if Jamaal is your RB1, you may be aiming a bit too high with expectations. I'd prefer to get Trent Richardson at the end of the first if possible. Maybe even Adrian Peterson, as Toby Gerhart is no Peyton Hillis, so you know All Day will at least get the ball a ton no matter what when he's fully back. And I'd rather take a shot in the dark with Darren McFadden than Charles, too. He's healthy and Bush is gone, so he's got way more potential and both are risks.

    Randy Moss

I know this is a late reply, but anyone wondering about this - for future drafts - I wouldn't take any of those guys listed over Michael Floyd. That kid is going to kill it right away with Larry Fitzgerald taking so much attention away. As long as Kolb/Skelton don't fall on both of their faces, he'll have a big year. You could argue for Boldin, Williams, maybe even the other Floyd (Malcom). But Michael has great size and ball skills. He's going to be a machine right off the bat. Any other thoughts on him?

    Tebow time?

I think Fox is stubborn, but he's also right at the moment that the Broncos aren't dead in the water at 1-3. however, it still isn't a great spot, and if they fall to 1-4 this week, the Tebow sighting draws closer. I still think they need to lose 6 games before he gets his chance (although I'd personally play him right now). Either way, I think the time is now to stash him. He has the potential to be a very solid fantasy QB when/if he starts.

Deion Branch in week 5 against the Jets

Call me crazy, but we could have a serious Chad Ochocinco sighting in this one. If Welker and Branch get the attention of the Jets top two corners, that should leave Rob Gronk and Ocho wide open for Brady to play around with.

    Knowshon Moreno

It looks like all those "he's just a change of pace back" comments are looking to be reality, after all. Moreno is a shifty back with nice versatility, but it's looking more and more like he was a reach in the first round by McDaniels. McGahee has clearly been more effective lately, so he'll have to take a nose-dive for Moreno to get a nice role again. I wouldn't dump him just yet, especially since the waiver wire is so thin at running back. Just keep your eye on injuries and rising talent.
  9. Hey, looking for any in-season high stakes fantasy football action I can find. I missed out on the high stakes scene before the season started, and now am on the search for a good, reliable site/league. Anyone know of anything? I'd appreciate any info you can get me. Thanks, Kevin

IS Forte for D Will a good trade?

Its a fair trade, but I don't see a need to "sell high". Carolina clearly isn't imposing their will through the air, and D Will DOES still have a timeshare to worry about. I know you're thinking to sell on Forte before he sucks or before Williams blows up, but it's very possible that neither of those happen. Outside of Tampa Bay, its not like D Will has an easy schedule this year. And Forte has clearly shown that even when he's not running well, he can tear it up. He's obviously the more valuable back in PPR leagues, and its not even close, really. The Bears offense will run through him more than the other receivers, as he's seen as a poor man's M Faulk. I'd wait on this and stick it out with Forte.
