was just the perfect storm of injuries, consecutive losses, and roster needs that the other owner was in a desperate situation for me. i'm surprised he let alshon go honestly. I'd asked for Landry in a similar package minus Hill. I've been trying to get Martavis since week 1 but his owner knows better. He'd be my 'value' pick for best chance to explode ROS that shouldn't necessarily cost an arm and a leg. I know that's not going out on a limb but maybe another target for you to consider. I think you could package some of those players and snag him.

Thanks for the input! This trade was actually accepted this afternoon. The league has been pretty trade-adverse over the years, maybe 2-3 per season if any at all. I'm actually the Team 2 owner. Team 1 had Jamaal Charles, and has been on a downward slide since his injury. He initially told me he didn't want Luck, but i rebutted that Luck is only 12 points behind Ryan in 2 fewer games so that must have struck a chord. In my view I basically upgraded my starting roster by inserting Alshon for Hill at the cost of, as you said, mediocre RB depth. Now I just have to reverse course on the "Hill will be a beast down the stretch" i've been telling myself since I kept him in the 4th round.

I'd start Ben as well. Steelers' passing O is gonna start rolling again down the stretch. If you (anyone reading this, really) can potentially acquire Bryant then I would pursue that aggressively.
-
tough call. ultimately, the final decision for me would come down to the titans O being pathetic. i'm a fan so it's been tough to watch. I'd probably avoid starting any Titans players until further notice. Delanie Walker would be the only exception and even then I'd pause.

tough call honestly, since you aren't that strong at RB to begin with. i'm guessing your starting roster (besides Rodgers obv) the past 2 weeks looked something like: RB: Hill RB: Abdullah (or dion) WR: JMatt WR: Keenan Flex: A Rob (or abdullah/dion) After the trade, it would probably look like this: RB: Latavius Murray RB: Abdullah WR: JMatt WR: Moncrief Flex: Keenan/ARob or something pretty similar. really it's up to you to choose which lineup you prefer. If i didn't think Hill was going to meet his preseason expectations, I'd probably go with the 2nd lineup. Moncrief has looked great (in a small sample size thus far) and it looks like the Colts will be forced to air it out all season. If you want to keep the faith in J Hill then I would decline. I'd look to start shopping Kelvin Benjamin for any needed upgrades you might need as teh season goes on. I took him in 2 keeper leagues, traded him in one and holding on for a few more weeks before doing the same in the other. He can be someone else's headache coming back from an ACL injury next year, but still holds plenty of value in keeper leagues regardless.

i've really come around on John Brown, not that I was ever that low on him. Everything I read and watch just screams "breakout" to me. Larry Fitz calling JB "the future" in a live ingame interview this preseason, living and practicing with Carson Palmer over the offseason, his preseason production to date, it has me pretty excited to see what he can do. I really like him this week and this season.

bump for more opinions? keeper deadline approaching soon. i will help you with your ?? as well.

At 3rd Spot...Bell and AP/Lacy are gone..Who to get at 3 PPR
sdmac replied to eaglesfreak's topic in A Little Help!
in this format, i'd swing for the fences and draft WRs all day long here. I'd rather secure a stud WR (or 3) before worrying about a lone RB position. In PPR there are plenty of serviceable RBs. aim to get foster in the middle rounds (5-7) and in a month your squad will look beastly on paper. *this strategy might also blow up in your face and you'd have to watch AD/Lacy both rush for 2000 yds and 20+ tds each. -
I'd keep Bryant at that value. He will be a stud when he gets back on the field. His talent is undeniable and his role as a deep threat will win you weeks this season. Of course, this is betting he's not josh gordon off the field the next month or so.

so does this team, outside of your top 3-4 picks. at least you got that backup D everyone's been sleeping on

Apollo, my friend, I may be new to this forum but I've been playing FF for many many years. If you draft 2 DSTs you are wasting a roster spot. The amount of turnover at DST every year guarantees you can find better options on the WW after only a couple weeks. Sure, later in the season it doesn't hurt to pick up another strong option for the stretch run, but drafting 2 Ds is redundant and unnecessary. I'd rather use those last spots on lotto tickets.

Lynch > Forte this year imo, but if its PPR i'd consider a stud WR here too.

since it is the league that requires 2DST/2K, it is the league that i rate 0/10 based on principle. within that league, though, i really like your squad. problem is every team should look really good on paper in 10 team leagues. You've set yourself up nicely and i agree with polecatt, dark horse contender.
