It's not often I agree with Cornel West but when I read or listen to 'Everybody's Brother' I can recognize the truth in what he's saying even if disagree. He connects the dots in ways that resonate and make sense even if he's over the top in his concerns of the plight of black inner cities he certainly advocates for them well. His ability to diagnose the problems and prescribe solutions remains intact.

 

Ta-Neshi Coates on the other hand is a race baiting idiot. The liberals all swoon for him but he misreads everything and draws all sorts of bad conclusions in a sh*tstorm of navel gazing and white shaming bullsh*t. My reaction to him is always 'that's not how it is." "WTF man." "God, you're an idiot".

 

 

So it's so delicious to see a heavy hitting black leftist intellectual with the gravitas of West call out Coates on his bullsh*t. If Blacks are angry they should channel that anger into improving their lives, not piss and moan with white liberal allies about alleged white racism which hardly exists anymore holding them back. His stuff has been out their all our lives and if you haven't heard of him you'd probably seen him around in passing, he's got three trademarks: a huge afro, a wide gap between his two front teeth, and he calls everybody "brother."
