First of all, they weren't sitting at a restaurant, they were at Starbucks; a cafe. There were plenty of empty tables and chairs around.

It is completely understandable that they could not use the bathroom without a purchase. Were they arrested at the bathroom stall? Had they forced their way into the bathroom and used it without permission?

People wait for everyone to arrive before they order food, it's not unheard of.

The person who they were waiting for arrived during the arrest.

The men were not loud nor homeless looking, not according to my eyes.

My local Starbucks never has an empty seat for all the kids studying and sleeping and sometimes they just leave their books and coats in the chairs while they go somewhere, just a table of crap with no people. No one has ever suggested they leave for posting-up at a Starbucks for hours.

The police were doing their job, no one is angry at the police, just noting that the Starbucks employee called the police selectively when people across the nation frequent Starbucks to meet others. The purchase was likely going to happen after the arrival of the guest.

My daughter worked at McDonald's when she was in high school. A customer (white male) threw a cheeseburger at her because the cheese wasn't melted.

Imagine she called the police because he assaulted her? She didn't even cook the cheeseburger, she was the cashier.

No one even admonished the customer.
