In recent memory, what's the most overrated movie?

Recommended Posts

Jennifer Lawrence and Amy Adams walking around swaying topside is enough for an Oscar IMO.

Even that couldn't save it. I almost fell asleep in the theater. I NEVER do that. That movie was that bad.

This year alone, I'd have to say The Dark Tower. Huge hype, big budget, absolutely died.

As a genre, everybody thought the R-rated comedy was back. Not so much.

As a franchise, seriously don't get any of the love for any of the Lego movies.

And how f****** much did they have to pay Sir Patrick Stewart to play poop in the Emoji Movie?

Baby Driver. That guy had to be at least 20!

Good choice. God all of Hollywood was falling all over themselves to promote that movie and afterward nobody really had much good to say about it. Wasn't Spacey in that too?

This. Also fell asleep during that. Was super bummed too, was an All-Star cast. I had really high hopes for it

Right? I was excited about it and all the hype it was getting. That ruined me for listening to all these critic reviews. Haven't trusted them since

LA LA Land

Neither actor can dance or sing. The tune he kept playing was simplistic and boring. I love them as actors and as a screen couple. The story was decent but overrated.

That's what I heard. Saturday Night Live even did a skit about that and how you weren't supposed to admit that La La Land was just average at best.

The Devil Wears Prada was good.

Sophie's Choice was excellent.

I can't remember the last time I left a theater saying "that was really great".

Two times.

Quiz show and American beauty.

Also I came here to post American Hustle AND

Burn After Reading "its the Cohen brothers!......" ..... "who?" that was such a piece of garbaqge movie I laughed 1 time. A scene where George Clooney is furiously chopping carrots for no reason and Im pretty sure I only laughed because we were so fed up with how terrible it was by then

The Revenant is another one. Beautiful scenery, but little dialogue and predictable story.

YeH, I'll jump on that.

Besides The Deer Hunter, where she had a small role, name a great Meryl Streep movie. So anything she's been in is overrated. Not saying horrible, but overrated.
