Thoughts on Sterling Shepard

Recommended Posts

You must think that that Diggs is going to be ineffective for a month. There is no other rationale to include him in the trade. When healthy Diggs is a top 8 WR.

I can't imagine sheppard not getting 9-12 targets a game. A lot of junk time with NYG trailing in games. He has a lot of talent. Their end of year schedule is not brutal for receivers.

I think he has a phenomenal floor with those targets as a top WR3 down the stretch with a few big games. Diggs is fine, but he is too inconsistent (I get he is injured)

I just wanted everyone's opinion. IF I'm right and Sheppard does blow up, he's off the market right away or his price tag will be stupid high.

Nicks, Cruz, Odell, now Sheperd? Tons of upside for low cost right now. I would say go get him, but not at the price of diggs.

Thinking about trying to trade for sheppard and offer Abdullah or abdullah and stephon diggs.

Anyone else think he can be a league winner down the stretch?

Yes I think he is a good trade target. Actually I thought he was 2 weeks ago when he and the other Giants receivers got hurt. Now he is practicing so the cost has probably gone up. The owner should be willing to sell for less than Diggs, especially considering the Giants have Seattle and a bye next.

As a Shepard owner, I can appreciate that another owner wouldn't trade diggs for him. When healthy Diggs has performed as a WR 1, but he does come with high risk second year in a row hurting his groin. I would still likely take diggs if offered for shep. However if offered Abdullah it would be an immediate hard pass, no thanks...

I don't know if anyone on the Giants is worth trading for right now

I have Shep in both my leagues....but for some reason I can't get excited. Feels he will get the opposing D's focus and I am not sure him and Eli will be able to generate much with Sheppard as the focal point of the passing game. Feels like a slightly better version of Kendall wright in Chicago and a slightly worse version of Garcon in SF.

He's been on my bench all season, just been holding as an emergency. Still wouldn't start him until further notice, like 2 weeks of solid work at least.

He's very questionable and playing the Hawks def I would bench him.

I prefer Shepard mainly because he's pretty much the Giants WR1 now. Manning liked to throw to him anyway before Beckham and Marshall were injured. Now he has to.

I doubt they roll him out vs Seattle this week with the week following being a bye week.

I added Sheppard in one league where I had Odell with the intention of being patient because I like his playoff schedule weeks 14-16.

I think that Evan Engram will benefit greatly with the return of Sheppard in week nine forward. Engram is a guy to target right now in trades.

He is playing this week, good luck to everyone!

I very much have my doubt on Sterling, I think he is WR3 with WR2 upside, but I could be very wrong.

I would just caution that all your looking for from shep today is to not reagravate the injury. I wouldn't play him this week, but after the bye next week is when shep becomes a fantasy factor with a real nice schedule.

I didn't chime in because I had to be patient to get this dude on my roster. 2nd round draft pick, 8TDs as a rookie, very talented.

Now the undisputed #1 on a team that can't run the rock consistently and will benefit from garbage time and Engram so talented in his own right to keep double teams off of him.

Been fully practicing for a week already, and oh yes the schedule going forward is oh so sweet.

As long as he stays healthy, this dude is going to be the golden ticket in ppr formats especially.

NO, Thielen is better than Diggs.

They can't both be good? :dunno:

Diggs best scoring day was better than Theilen's best scoring day.

I'm sitting on him this week, I think they are gonna run the ball and Engram the TE are going to be big. I'm not saying he won't but I think they are going to run a vanilla offense for awhile.

They can't run the ball.

I'm starting him and in a ppr league.

Engram only helps open things up for Shepherd.

I like owning the only wr of value and starting him on an NFL team.

And he's been productive.

I have to roll out either him or Dede due to byes, was planning on keeping Shep on the bench until further notice to see how it shakes out but may have to risk it.

Well I traded Baldwin this week with the plans of Fuller taking the reigns as my #2...F. Thielen on a bye I have to start Shepard so expect 3 rec 39yds.
