wiffleball 4,617 Posted October 20, 2017 A couple interesting things that I picked up. I really want to hear the whole interview. Most interesting is that the Confederate flag really wasn't the flag of the Civil War. In fact, it was just one flag of Northern Virginia among dozens of flags. It wasn't adopted as sort of this Universal Southern confederacy flag symbol until something like 1952. Which apparently coincides with a scotus decision As far as the statues go? He said check the date when they were erected. If it was around 1891 give or take that was all about reasserting southern Rule. And at that time there were four million slaves. Again I want to hear more about that. About the Confederacy in general? It killed more loyal Americans than Hitler and Tojo combined apparently. That's an interesting way of looking at things. If anybody finds this interview via transcript or podcast or video or whatever would love to link. Thanks
