Diversability versus Disability

Recommended Posts

I like the world diversability better. It focuses on what someone with a disability CAN do not want they CAN'T do.

Do they get a guberment check? That's all they want to know. Call them what you want.

I know 5 people on disability.

1-full military, no physical limitations. I have no clue what his disability is.

2- lost 3 toes on one foot from a circulation problem. Good golfer

3- bad back from work injury. Plays golf weekly.

4- stroke victim. Has a slight limp.

5-heart damage from a staph infection. Also lost sight in one eye with partial hearing loss. His disability was denied several times despite being the most deserving

Kinda getting to my point. Disabliity doesn't mean zero ability.

I'd prefer to know what they can do for a check not what they can't.

If I'm not mistaken diversability was an old old wooden warship used during the Civil War
