The Moz 69 Posted June 14, 2014 Was taking the Kids to see Maleficent this Friday and we were going to eat before. 2hr. wait at both Olive Garden and Red Lobster (note: I hate both these places but the kids love em and they are right by the Mall). I see CiCi's across the street. I figure fock it the kids will like it and even bad pizza is still edible right? Walk in and it's cheap as fock for a buffet so I'm like okay......... I think I was one of the only adult's there under 300 lbs and for certain the only one under 200. The kids there seemed to be big fans of the game - "lets walk by people when they are eating and scream". I go up and try to get some pizza and as I wait for a guy to get his pizza the man takes 1/2 of one pizza , then 1/2 of another , and 1/2 of another and piles one on top the other and wheezes like he is about to have a heart attack as he struggles to walk back to his seat. I then go to pick up the 3 pieces of cheese pizza left to give to my kids and 2 females about 280 lbs each start givign me the eye ball I then go to get a few pieces for my self. I start my way back to my seat and the guy yell's Mac n Cheese pizza's............. I felt like if was about to be a victim of a stampede thankfully they were slow but the earth beneath me shook violently ... was like trying to walk in a 7.0 earthquake. I get to my seat and eat or try to and It's almost un edible - How can you possible fock Pizza up to the point where it's barely edible? Hell I could go to focking ALDI's and buy ingredients and stop by GFIAFP's place for Gov't cheese to shred and it would be 10X better. So I say fock it I will get a Salad at the Salad bar. Suddenly the sea's part and I stand in the Salad section alone the other patrons seemingly avoiding it like it's black death. I pile up some salad and yes that sucks ass too but at least I wasn't fighting through people I was actually afraid might try to eat me to get it. Even the Kids hated the pizza and I have never heard them complain EVER about pizza (8 and 11) . We got out of there - got to the Movie and I let them order Over fockign prized Hot Dogs and Nacho's because I felt bad. If you ever run past one of these places you are better off eating dinner in the parking lot at 7-11 - better - and safer 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

I went for one of the very few 600 calorie and under meals, peppercorn crusted sirloin with shrimp, substituted rice for the mashed potatoes and got broccoli as my side. Sides were fine. Shrimps were sad little guppies. Steak was cooked perfectly medium rare and actually very good. Jus passing this along in case you unfortunately end up at a Ref Lobster one day. No the employees live in fear the patrons will mistake them for food - they hide. as would I. You found it edible? Seriously even my kids spit the pizza out and thats always their 1st choice for food. I ended up having to shell out like 100 dollars for 4 focking hot dogs, a nacho, 3 drinks, med popcorn, and a pack of twizzlers. Last time I was at Red Lobster - as I said my Kids like it -- i got some seafood combo thing that was like 28 bucks -- seriously the quality was the same you would find in a midlin to average Casino buffet line. - focking awful. If I want to go to a chain seafood place in Chicago I go to Shaw's --maybe slightly higher prices but MUCH better food. If I want really good seafood -- tough to beat Joe's Stone Crab. nzoner 936 Posted June 16, 2014 The CiCi's here is an advertising client of mine so I find myself there 2-3 times a month on business and your description of the people is spot on.I don't know about other locations but one thing I do like about the one here(when I do eat there) is that I can order any kind of pizza I want and have it made fresh and delivered to my table for no extra charge. Roll out brown paper, plate of crab and a hammer... It was fantastic. Really enjoyed it there, and actually the Balt/Maryland area. Silver Springs was a nice as well.
