Torn 42 Posted March 10, 2017 And we're off! Thanks to everyone for your help and support to this point. It feels great that we've made it to draft time! For those unaware, I'm a native Bostonian (complete with accent) and I HAVE to grab a Red Sox play-ah or two every season, sometimes on a reach. :-) Luckily, this season, I got to grab the most common #2 draft pick who coincidentally is from the home team! He was my last 2nd tier guy and was afraid Harry would snipe him. with 3 picks to go before my 2nd rounder I had them Encarnacion, Marte, Freeman, Scherzer in my head. I probably shoudnt be that concerned with his finger but that more or less led me to be hoping one of the other 3 fell. That and I have a long list of pitchers in my 3rd tier.... Kershaw --- Bum/Healthy Max/ Thor / Arrieta --- long tier 3. My tier 3 is probably more generous than most others though. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Torn 42 Posted March 11, 2017 Story felt a little "reachy" for me where I took him, but with Correa, Lindor, Villar, Seager and Segura all taken as keepers and Machado and Bogaerts already drafted, Story was the only remaining SS of any interest to me outside of sleeper/lottery ticket land... Being able to choose from a solid list of keepers to start with, he's got 3 1st rounders out of the gate and 7 players ranked in the top 85 after just 3 rounds of drafting. But I figured he is understandably tweaking, trying to optimize his weapons--experimenting. And his troubles the other day caused him to drop too far. I think he's got something to prove and I don't pick again until 6.6.. there are other players I love here too but got to go with another of my boys So Joey Bats it is!
