BrownsWon 0 Posted July 17, 2006 10 team league - My 1st round picks - #6, #7 Start 1QB, 2RB, 3WR, TE, K PPR league. Wide receivers historically go early in our drafts while backup running backs fall later into the second round. We keep 5 players each year and it doesn't cost us anything. Under consideration: Carson Palmer* Domanick Davis* LaMont Jordan* Willie Parker Tatum Bell Steve Smith* Andre Johnson* Joey Galloway Jeremy Shockey I am planning to keep Carson Palmer, D. Davis, L. Jordan, S. Smith, A. Johnson. I believe all of the other players will be there in the 1st round when I draft with the possible exception of one of the running backs if someone is really high on them. Let me know if you think I should keep someone different.
swanny 0 Posted July 17, 2006 I think you have the right 5... Only other I would consider is dropping A. Johnson and keeping a 3rd rb in Willie Parker.
remote controller 133 Posted July 17, 2006 I think you have the right 5... Only other I would consider is dropping A. Johnson and keeping a 3rd rb in Willie Parker. I would keep Shockey over Johnson. TE required league makes his value higher than a "done nothing yet" wideout!

Force of Two 0 Posted July 18, 2006 I couldn't agree more!! I couldnt disagree more....This year tight ends will be 12 deep with guys who can play at the level of Shockey....keep Johnson and hope that he breaks out....

I just don't think Johnson is all that great! There are probably 20 WRs that will be better than him this year. Shockey will be in the top 3 at TE in a TE required league. So you are saying that in a draft you would pick Johnson over Shockey. That is fine, I just wouldn't do it.

I wouldnt even think twice about it.....Johnson has the potential (I know the evil P word) to be similar to TO while the list of impressive TE talent is deep this year Gates-Gonzo-Heap-Witten-McMichael-Miller-Crumpler-LJ Smith-Cooley-Shockey-Stephens-Winslow-Watson-Vernon Davis-Maybe Hilton-Maybe Alex Smith- There may be twenty WR out their who put up better numbers however half of them will give you those same numbers year in and year out and may not be the difference between a championship and just having a good team...(Driver, R. Smith)...Johnson could be (with an emphasis on could) special
tampa_fan_01 0 Posted July 18, 2006 Go with your top 5. I still have a little concern with Shockey because of the Injury factor and Eli
ocramfan 0 Posted July 19, 2006 I would keep W.Parker or Shockey and hope that Andre is there in the first round.
lguero1 4 Posted July 19, 2006 keep parker or shockey. but i am surprised galloway is getting no love. i've got galloway and andre ranked 21 and 22 at the WR position. besides age, no reason to think galloway won't have similar situation and stats as he did last year. what has changed in TB to make us think anything will be different. the p word for galloway is proven. there are not 12 TEs that can perform at shockey's level. he is the #1 option in a revamped NYG offense. i bumped him over the gates/phillips combo, tony no TD gonzalez, cooley, heap, crumpler, witten, c'mon.
